Previous KO Shows
were you there...?

3.June.2001, UCLA's Northwest Auditorium, Los Angeles, CA -- This was effectively our first show, although it was for a bunch of freshmen in the UCLA dorms for a talent show.

20.June.2001, KSCU fm, Santa Clara, CA -- This was an in-the-studio type thing where we played in front of only a few radio people, but were broadcast live over the radio and internet. It took place right after we recorded the demo CD.

29.October.2001, The Cooperage at UCLA, Los Angeles, CA -- I think I would call this our first "real" show, only because we were actually playing in front of an audience who came to see real bands like ATM instead of seeing their friends juggle at a talent show.

30.Ocotber.2001, The Garage, Hollywood, CA -- I guess I would really call THIS our first real show, too, since it was not at UCLA. However, I wouldn't call 12 minutes on stage in the crappiest crap-hole in the world a "show." Here's some advice for everyone, NEVER go to the Garage. They're a bunch of lying bastards who charge $5 for "half-priced" drinks that come in little 5 oz. plastic cups. That's why we've written a song called F%*& the Garage.

3.November.2001, Westchester Bar and Grill, Westchester, CA -- Now I think we can finally agree that this was our "first real show." We played at a real place, in front of real people, with a real set. The only problem with this show (besides our lack of quality musicianship), was that the kids at the show were all just hard-core kids who were not interested in listening to us. So we got a lot of booing and took a lot of crap... but what are you gonna do? It happens to everyone.

29.November.2001, Mr. T's Bowl, Highland Park, CA -- This place was great. They took an old beat up bowling alley from the 1950's and put a stage on the lanes. They had a bar and some white trash people working the place, and we even saw a cook in the kitchen drinking a Budweiser from can! The only thing that could have made this show better would have been if they could have kept 2 lanes open for actual bowling. We'll definatly have to play there again!

April 11, 2002, The Coconut Teaszer, Hollywood, CA -- Played with some metal bands at a time when metal seems dead to me... there was one sort of good punk band there, but I forget their name. There was also some really shitty cock-rock band there that sang songs about how big their dicks are. They even had a song called "Ride me like a Bull!" It was painful. Fortunately, only about 3 people were listening. This show also featured Whitney forgetting the words to Omelas, Mike drunk on his birthday and spilling beer on stage while playing the drums, and Keith losing his place in the song when he started wandering the floor with his wireless adapter for his guitar. Good Times, man... 18+ COCONUT TEASZER 8117 Sunset Blvd Hollywood CA 90046 Doors: 7pm Onstage: 8pm $5 w/ Guest List** Singlehanded The Rainman Suite
