Ivan Milat - His Story , His Words

Your website sounds interesting and your [sic] welcome to put my case on it (I thank you for the courtsy [sic] of asking me for that.) It is easy for people to select the 'good' bits to show I did those crimes if they could read all the trial transcripts they would see there is room for a lot of doubt about me...if people were more aware of the circumstances of how the Crown approached it, they would be concerned in case they ever got caught up in the legal system.

The Crown said at I first I did it alone. The D.N.A. evidence excluded me - The Crown saying the tests were flawed....remember I was arrestted [sic] first - they had already recovered the DNA evidence of the girls and knew what they had - they after my arrest took blood/hair from me, when the tests were done and it was after the committal hearing this completed, it was not mine, no matter what people may think of me, that alone excludes me (I did not conduct the tests).

They then put forward a group theory overcomes the DNA evidence against me as now it can be said it belongs to one of my 'gang' thats [sic] easy to say but if anyone read the trial transcripts or was there would know the Crown conceded that he could not establish it, and did not undertake to do this. There was no questioning of any witnesses the police, the experts? on this matter - the police had no view that there was a group (more than one) - we (Defence Team) knew this due to they gain [sic] access to all the police records - all on computer (this gained only by a court order) - the police did not pursue a more than one theory it was only raised officially during the trial when we (defence) put our explanations to the Crown case-based on the Crown evidence it had put forward - to overcome our defence, the trial judge made some extraordinary rulings to do this one of those was that the Crown did not have to prove the essential elements of the charges it put forward = the group - the Crown didn't have to establish one thing about it. The jury were directed that the Crown did not have to do this.

The jury who takes their instructions from the judge can only act upon those instructions - They are [un]able to decide for themselves, but decide what - the Crown didn't adduce evidence on it, sure the Crown proved that 7 people were found murdered in the forest - it was pretty gruesome how it was described, but when it came down to it, who did it, he had no proof sure I had to be blamed, I got arrested - you recall that how it was carried out - how would the police look if the trial was carried out where [sic- were] I given a trial according to law.

Another matter, I [sic] aware of a book out - "Sins of the Brother" - I believe (haven't seen it) heard a bit about it though - if the DNA not mine it equally applies to my brothers as well (I know some of my brothers even old Mum gave DNA evidence)....
