This past summer, as I have for the two summers before, I was a counselor for younguns at church camp. But this year had a different twist: inner-city kids. It was an interesting time, fun, but at times very trying and confusing. I only wish I had been able to partake for all 8 weeks of it (I only did one week) though after the week I was there, it was to be inner-city kids of incarcerated parents, which would have been, prolly, a bit more than I could handle for that long. But it was a great experience none the less, especially since I love the out doors, hiking, kyaking, swimming, camp fire....etc. |
