DAILY WEATHER REPORT FOR KARNATAKA STATE

SUNDAY   THE  25th  MAY  2008 / 4th  JYAISTHA, 1930 (SAKA)

 

 Summary of observations recorded at 0830 hours IST:

 

Rainfall occurred at a few places over Interior Karnataka and at isolated  places over Coastal Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Haliyal (Uttara Kannada dt) 5; Sambre,  Davanagere 3 each.; Honavar, Savanur (Haveri dt),  Ilkal (Bagalkote dt), M.M.Hills (Chamarajnagara dt),  Balehonnur (Chikmagalur dt) 2 each;  Mulki (Dakshina Kannada dt), Ranebennur (Haveri dt),  Hungund (Bagalkote dt),  Napoklu (Kodagu dt),  Tarikere (Chikmagalur dt),  Bangalore City 1 each.

            Maximum Temperatures  rose at  many places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over  Interior Karnataka. They were  appreciably  above normal at many places  over Coastal Karnataka  and  were normal over  Interior Karnataka.

            Gulbarga  recorded the highest maximum temperature of 39.9° Celsius over the State.                  

 

Forecast valid until the morning of 27th  May  08:

 

 Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over the State.

Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka; North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
