Gojyo, Gojyo, Gojyo.. One of the liveliest in the Sanzo-ikkou.. Usually seated at the back seat of the jeep err.. i mean Hakuryu, usually taunting or squabbling with Goku the Baka Saru.  A heavy drinker and smoker, and also a womanizer.  That's where he got his nickname "Ero-Kappa" from Goku.. Ero-Kappa, short for Erotic Kappa or "horny water monster" [according to the AXN subtitle translations.. :p]. Goes around with the same baggy brown pants, brown boots, a white shirt, a blue vest and a blue bandanna. 

Spoiler alert. Read at your own risk. Don't say i didn't warn you... 

Looking deeper into the character, Gojyo is a half-youkai, a child of taboo. A forbidden cross between a human and a demon. His father was a youkai and his mother a human. A Child of taboo is born with ominous red hair and red eyes which is said to be very unlucky. As a child, he had to live with his stepmother and his half-brother, Jien. His step mom hated him, and never wished she had him in the household. She cried every time she looked at him, abused him, beat him and hated him or at how he looks. She hated everything about him, the red color of his hair and eyes. He tried to be a good boy to his stepmother, doing acts of kindness by giving her flowers, but his deeds were always painfully rejected. [literally, coz she beats him up every time..] She calls him "ugly" because of his taboo appearance..She hated him so much that she beats him up sooo bad and i bet she won't have second thoughts of beating the child to death. [that b****!!! >_<] Good thing Jien, his older half-brother always stops her from beating the life outta him.. poor kid.. rotten childhood. One fateful day changed his life forever. His step mother wanted to finish him once and for all. She slashed Gojyo in the face, and attempted to kill him with an axe. Jien killed her just before she could kill his younger half-brother.

He grew up independently, as the Gojyo we all know and love now. Then he met a severely injured man named Cho Gonou and nursed him back to health. They became good friends, but later, a monk and a kid [or maybe monkey.. lol it was Sanzo and Goku] came to arrest Cho Gonou for the serious crime of killing more than a thousand demons. [imagine.. a whole family of 'em.. O_o remember not to mess with this guy.. he may look nice and all but he can beat the crap outta you when he's pissed.] Then he tried to help Gonou run for it then Gonou ran into a relative of the demons he killed and that demon wanted revenge from him. Thinking it would atone for his sins, Gonou was thinking of sacrificing his body parts in front of the demon to make up for killing all his relatives. He first [should i say poked? T_T] blinded his own right eye [eekkk!OMG!! he SNAPPED!! O_O] , and was about to do the same to his left eye, but good thing Goku was there to stop him! They finished off the demon, Gonou turned himself in to custody and was sentenced to death.. probably.. :p Sanzo went to Gojyo's house to tell him that Gonou was dead. Liar Sanzo.. hehe.. It seems that Cho Gonou just changed his name to Cho Hakkai. Out with the old, in with the new, ne? Hakkai stayed with Gojyo and so Sanzo and Goku left them, with their own lives to attend to.. [ok,whetever that meant..]

After three years the fated four [hey, good name.. hehe], crossed paths once again as a team to stop the revival of the Demon Lord, Gyumao. They all travel together to the West to stop this project. And have a few bumps on the road and a few adventures on the way..

Okay... The first spoiler paragraph was okay but the last to were not so good.. Sorry if the last 2 paragraphs sort of suck. i got really lazy...
