the transformed kunai

There was once a gambler named Tsunade. She was such a horrible gambler, people from all over Japan nicknamed her the legendary sucker. One day, after a particularly bad streak of luck, she was going back to her hometown of Leaf Village when she ran into a fox.

"Why hello," she said, watching the fox practice henge no butsu and thinking up a way to make some quick cash.

"Hey!" Said the fox, whose name was really Naruto. "What can I do for you?"

"Can you change into an expensive kunai for me?"

"Of course! My henge no butsu skills are the best!" Naruto cringed, thinking of his recent escapade with Gaara. "But I won't do it for free- bring me twenty bowls of ramen!"

Now it was Tsunade's turn to cringe. That cost a lot of money... but the expensive kunai would be worth more. She rushed into town to get the ramen and promptly brought it to Naruto. He ate it quickly, then jumped into the air.

"Henge no butsu!" He said, and when he landed he was an extravagent kunai. Tsunade picked it up with a greedy smile and ran to Leaf village. She ran to Kakashi's place, since she knew he was a sucker for well made weaponry.

"Hmmm..." said Kakashi. "This is pretty nice."

"I'll sell it to you for fifty dollars."

"It's a deal." Kakashi started walking back to his place, but he noticed the kurai was a little dull. He handed the kunai to his student Sakura. "Sakura go polish this kunai and forge it in the fire for me."

Sakura took the weapon and left to do as she was told. But when she started polishing the kunai on a stone, it started talking!

"Ouch! You're hurting me! Please do that gently."

Sakura was very startled and ran back to Kakashi. "The kunai just spoke to me! It said my polishing was hurting it!"

"Don't worry," said Kakashi, who was busy reading Come Come Paradise and wasn't really paying attention. "That's just what new kunais do when you polish them."

Sakura sweatdropped, but went back to polishing the kunai.

"That really hurts... don't you know what gently means?"

This time Sakura stayed calm and kept polishing the kunai. When she was finished she stuck it in the fire.

"Too hot! Too hot! Put out the fire!"

Sakura was startled, and told Kakashi. "Kakashi sensei, the kunai just said the fire was too hot."

Kakashi, still not paying attention, just nodded his head. "Yes, that's exactly the kind of thing a new kunai will say. Just keep a good fire going."

Sakura made the fire hotter and hotter. Soon, to her amazement, the kunai sprouted ears. "Kakashi sensei! The kunai has ears!"

Even as she said it, the teapot sprouted legs, a tail, and then a head. "Kakashi sensei- it has legs, feet, and a head."

"Yes, new kunais have..."

But before he could finish the kunai returned to his true form as a fox, and escaped into the mountains behind the village.
