Losing It
Part Two: The First Date
"...so my psychologist says
I'm doing really well, adjusting to life after the war. I'm having an
easy time learning to open up, you know, and I'm exploring different
paths in life, deciding where I want to be. He really helped me see
that I wasn't a soldier any more, that I can finally live the childhood
I never had..."
Duo blocked out Heero's voice as he drove them back to Quatre's house.
God, who knew Heero's lost child was so talkative... and usually Duo
was the one everybody told to shut up. It seemed as though Dr. Tanuki
was doing a good job with Heero, though- the boy was a lot less
psychotic now.
Dinner had gone, in Duo's opinion, amazingly well. There were several
covert glances over the table, and even a few lingering touches
whenever condiments and other such things were passed. Now they were
going back home to watch Basic Instinct, and Heero had been the one to
pick the movie out.
"Well, we're here," Duo said, cutting off Heero's one-sided
conversation. Heero just smiled and waited for Duo to open his door for
him.
Once they were in the room, which Duo locked in case any wondering
Manganaucs came by, Duo popped in the tape and settled on the couch.
Heero shyly took a seat on the other end of the same couch, so Duo
scooted over until they were pressed up next to each other.
"It's easier to share the popcorn this way," he explained, holding out
the bowl, and Heero laughed nervously. When the movie started Duo swung
his arm around Heero's shoulder, pleasantly surprised when Heero not
only let him but snuggled deeper into his side.
"You know," said Heero, tracing little hearts on Duo's chest with his
left index finger, "Dr. Tanuki helped me realize that I've had feelings
for you for a long time."
"Oh really?" Score! Duo thought, wondering what color he should get his
new bike painted. Heero nodded against his chest.
"I really like you, Duo."
"I like you too."
Heero lifted his head then, eyes shut tight, lips puckered, and Duo had
to resist the urge to laugh at the comical expression. Instead he
closed his eyes and wrapped his lips around Heero's, sucking and
kissing at the soft flesh. He drew his tongue out, brushing it against
Heero's lips, then pressing more firmly... but Heero's mouth just
wouldn't open. Duo opened his eyes and drew back, staring into a pair
of wider than usual, visibly surprised Prussian blue eyes.
"Is something the matter, Heero?"
"Well, it's just, I've never done anything like this before."
"Really? You've never been French kissed?"
Heero shook his head.
"Oh. It's okay, just part your lips a little and I'll do all the work."
Duo placed his hand on the back of Heero's head, forcing him forward so
that their lips met again. Duo pushed his tongue into Heero's mouth,
thrusting into the wet cavern and brushing against Heero's tongue.
After a few seconds Heero got over the initial shock of having Duo's
tongue in his mouth and relaxed into the kiss. He even started to kiss
back, moaning at the new sensation. Duo pulled him into a tighter
embrace, one arm around his back and one hand resting on his knee.
Several moments into their impromptu make-out session, Duo started
moving his hand slowly up Heero's thigh. His fingertips had just
lightly brushed against the bulge that was their destination when Heero
suddenly broke off the kiss and pushed his hand away.
"Duo, what do you think you're doing?"
"Huh?" Duo blinked. He thought it was pretty obvious what he was doing.
"Well," Heero pulled back a little from Duo's embrace, blushing a
little. "You're not supposed to touch... Little Heero, like that."
Duo blinked again. "How are you supposed to touch him then?"
Heero crossed his arms over his chest and frowned. "You're not supposed
to touch him at all."
"You're kidding, Heero!" Heero frowned some more. "You're not kidding.
But Heero, it's been so long since I've done anything, you know I might
die if I don't get any release..."
Heero's frown turned into a glare. "Is that the only reason you asked
me out? Sex?"
"No, of course not. I told you before, I really like you."
Heero's expression softened and he scooted a little closer to Duo.
"Honto ni?"
"Hai, honto ni."
"Okay, I forgive you. But I don't think we should do anything more than
kiss right now. It's only the first date, after all."
"All right, Heero. If that's how you feel about it." Duo wasn't
particularly worried; he had a whole month the get Heero to come
around, and this date had already gone further than he had expected
from his discussion with Quatre. He pulled Heero to his side, wrapping
his arm around the boy as they resumed watching the movie.
Damn, he thought, watching Sharon Stone as she crossed and recrossed
her legs, Heero would look hot in that dress.
