| National Programs The Kappa Eta Chapter has successfully implemented the Fraternity�s three National Programs during this academic year. �A Vote less People is a Hopeless People� Voter�s Education Forum conducted on the University of Memphis Campus. The panel hosted local and national politicians stressing the importance of voting. Held six Voters Registration Drives on campus and throughout the local community visiting three high schools each month. �Project Alpha� This program was conducted in conjunction with the graduate chapter. This program was targeted to a local Boy Scouts of America Troop #761 & 762 �Go To High School, Go To College� The chapter hosted students from our adopted high school. Student participated in the chapter�s Spend a Day in the Life of a College Student� on the University of Memphis Campus. Seven tenacious young college men founded this thriving chapter February 2, 1975. The chapter�s membership has steadily increased since the chapter�s reinstatement in the fall of 1999. Presently, the chapter has 18 brothers on its roster. Community Involvement The Kappa Eta chapter is very involved in helping all mankind. Listed below are services the chapter has been involved with throughout this academic year. Big Brothers Big Sisters Diggs-Kraus Sickle Cell Advisory Council Boys Scouts of America Memphis Family Shelter St. Jude�s Up till Dawn Fundraiser Annual MLK Memorial Celebration March National Bone Marrow Donor Program Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial Project Memphis and Shelby County Health Department Sponser Memphis City Schools Play it Again Memphis Participant Memphis City Schools Greek Day Participants Scholarship Nearly 80% of the members of the Kappa Eta chapter attend the University of Memphis on academic scholarship. To maintain high academic excellence the chapter has implemented the following activities to help aid in scholarship.
