My family is big, very big. In India there is still a concept of joint family. My grandpa Gokuldas Goswami is 80 years old and is yet more energetic then I am. My family lineage is as follows - we are natively from Brij (as far as i know). We were the Rajgurus of the Bundela kings of Khajruho. The break up of kingdom into parts among vaious sons made my ancestors to move to Panna as Rajpurohit of one of the newly formed kingdoms. further division caused them to move to Jakhlaun (Lalitpur -Jhansi). past 150 years we are settled in Jakhlaun. The family lineage is traced to Sh. Hariram Vyas, who is supposed to be the incarnation of Vishakha sakhi of the great lover of Krishna, "Radha".

My father is a government bureaucrat and my mother is a housewife. I am having two elder sisters and a elder brother. Eldest in home is anju didi. she is a doctor. I never believed in life that she wud be able to rear children on her own for she is famed for her disorganization. To my suprise and delight, she had indeed reared up two! infact. mercy on them God. Brother-in-law is a Dak sahab. Controary to didi, he is infinitely organized. he is a quite person and better limits his concerns to only dear ones in sharp contrast to anju didi.jiju, didi, sona and harit make up for the eldest family of our home. Sona, albeit can speak better english than can I is slim and very fashion conscious at a seemingly very young age. harit maharaj like any other boy, is always in mood to destroy, turn upside down all possible things in home.

next to anju didi is neelu didi. she is very quite and hardly has any typical feminine tastes. she is wonderful at cooking things but for self. I am still reminicent of days when she used to hang Rotis in front of me and my brother abusing and smiling for eating a lot. She is a house wife. My brother in law is a software engineer with TCS. Recently she gave birth to a baby boy christened as manu. the boy cries a lot and seems to be a hungry fella past several ages. jiju is a busy man with lots of travelling onjob, I think he is a frequent flier on nearly all domestic airlines. he is very traditional at heart and is worried about the value degradation.

Then I wish to tell about elder brother Deepak.He is pursuing MBA from MANAGE, Hyderabad. He has a job up his sleeves from Dabur India ltd. better known as a serious thinker and a very mature person, he is well respected in family as kul putr. Parents are now looking for a suitable bride for him and his good days seems numbered now. Unfortunately, he got his posting at delhi, while I shall stay at mumbai.

This is my family, all people different in their own ways and styles. Life is running so fast that I am unable to digest that I am no longer a kid.............and that their are now other kids in house to my envy.......
