Aquired by the Stars in a treade that sent Joe Nuiwendyk and Jaime Langenbrunner to New Jersey, Arnott was the big-physical right shooting center that the Stars needed. The Stars were looking to get younger and bigger and accomplished both with this trade. While Arnott is somewhat inconsistent, when he is on, there are few in the league that con stop his drive to the net. He is also capable of delivering the big hits, but does so infrequently. With a little motivation Arnott could easily be a top-tier player in this league. Especially given his very good puck and playmaking skills and his extremely powerful shot.
