Introduction

Another world, in the far reaches of space. Another time, of steel and magic. This world is known as Terrisi. A once peaceful planet, the world was cratered with meteors. Soon to be discovered, much to everyone's horror, a gate to the Land of the Punished had been ripped open. Inside dwelled many a foul demons and things of the dead. However, there had also been a rip into the heavens, releasing many angels and creatures of good to fight their own war against the demons over the rulership of the world. The people paniced, order was soon lost. Magic was released into the world, along with all manners of strange beasts. Kings of great power fell from their thrones as the world went into a civil war. Once peaceful races began to wage wars , not just against others , but amongst themselves as well. Crime is rampant and wars are a common site. Many warlords have assumed thrones speckled across the land, each trying to expand their territory, and wealth.

This is a game of dice, paper, and imagination.  "You're standing on a road, headed towards town when you hear hoofbeats coming from behind you.  What do you do?"  Do you hide in the bush?  Do you ready your weapon?  Do you stand and wait to see who it is?  These are the types of choices your character will have to make.  If done correctly, while playing the game you actually become part of your character.  You "step inside" of him/her, make choices that they, not you, would make.  Live someone else's life in a different world, with different rules. Watch your character (refered to as a PC: Player Character) get stronger, faster, and gain more skills as they go on.

You will need two to five or six players, or more if the game master is skilled enough.  One of the players will become the Game Master, in essence, the god of the game.  What the game master says, goes.  The other players take on the persona of the hero's of the story.  Yes, the story, because the game master is, in fact, telling a story.  Only this time, the players are making the choices for the main characters.  Throughout the game you will more than likely run across other people and creatures.  These are controlled by the game master and are refered to as NPC's. (Non Player Characters)

This is your chance to play out a fantasy persona, to fight demons and dragons, use magic and discover new lands.  You may, or may not, choose to play another race.  What race you play and from what area of the world you originate, will affect how your character thinks and reacts to those around him.  Just remember, there are exceptions to the rules in this matter!  Not all orcs hate humans, not all necromancers are evil, and there just might be honor among thieves.  Your PC will probably start the game with very little money and possessions.  That's all right though.  As the adventure unfolds, so will the opportunity to learn new skills, earn money, and improve what they already know.  Your PC will make allies and enemies as they travel that may well affect their future.  Not to mention the future of those around them.

The History of Terrisi

The world was old, but to those that dwelled apon it, they did not know, nor did they care. A peace had been established between the races, all except the Herrissani who kept to themselves in the Selvorian desert. Those that wandered in were most likely to die from lack of water and the extreme heat, those that didn't die, usually found themselves as slaves to the Herrissani. The kingdom of the Dal~Thri was ruled under a single king, who was good and kind. The land and it's people were in bliss.

Then came the fatefull night when the heavens opened up and meteors showered down, most cities ended in rubble and the land was cratered. Durring this time a hole was ripped to the netherworld and all sorts of demons were released upon the world. But to everything there is a ballance, and the heavens were opened up also, allowing the creatures of light to filter down and battle the terrible evil that occupied the land. This war rages on still and the beings remain hidden from site for the most part. When this happened, the races found something strange had happened to them, select few had been granted "God Power" or magic.

The good king Callomine was removed from power, most likely by demon help, and slain. Vicious warlords took control of what land they could and began wars amongst themselves in an attempt to gain more land, and more people to rule over. The Skilliaks went into hiding deep within their caverns for many years. The other races had thought them wiped out by the Gods. Years later, mysterious murders began to take place throut the lands and no one could figure out who was behind them. It wasn't until a massed army of Skilliaks emerged was the question answered. They had secretly trained deadly assassins, and their vast tunnels gave them access to just about any city they wanted.

They marched across the lands destroying any army that tried to stop them, that was until their forces met those of the Dalthwin below the mountains. Eventually the Skilliaks broke through the Dalthwin lines and continued through the other side of the mountains, only to find themselves outmatched and to weak to face the Elashini forces that had been ready in the woods on the other side. The Skilliaks had been forced back and the torn world remains in constant war amonst itself and the Gods.
