Pit fighting

The fighting pit

Most of the entertainment in Terrisi comes in the form of pit-fights. People gather from all over to watch contestants battle it out in an arena. Most often times, this does lead to one contestants death.

The combat takes place in an arena, similar to that of the roman coluseums.

The rules of the pit are as follows-

1. No mages

2. Once an opponent is down, the fight is over.

3. No magic items.

Entering to fight

The cost to enter a fight is 10 silver, 5 silver for a professional pit fighter.

A professional pit fighter recieves a +2 weapon skill bonus against a non professional pit fighter. This is because he is in his "element".

Rolling up an opponent

If you fight an NPC opponent, which often times happens, than this chart is a quick, easy way to roll one up.

Winning a fight

A fight lasts 1 round, or if the game master chooses, until one fighter dies or fails their will power roll.

If you win, you recieve 5 copper per wound inflicted on your opponent.

You also recieve 10 silver for winning the fight, and if you kill your opponent, you get an additional 1 gold.

If you lose, you recieve nothing, you have wasted your money and must find a way to regain your losses, that is, if you're still alive.

Betting on a fight

You can bet as much money as you want on a fight, but if your chosen fighter loses, you lose the money.

There are two types of bets to place, to win, or to kill.

If you bet to kill, and your chosen fighter doesn't win or kill, than you lose your money. If he does kill, than you get your money x5.

If you bet to win, and your chosen fighter wins or kills, than you get your money x2.
