| *flashback* A Week Before �Lance, I don�t want to have to leave tomorrow.� Amber sighed and tugged on her knee high leather boots. �Baby, it will be okay. You are going to be gone for six months to Paris. You know that I will be here when you get back.� Lance kissed her on top of her head before shrugging on his jacket. �Are you ready? I think that we have a going away party to go to for you.� he smiled and pulled her to her feet. I love you Amber.� he sighed as he glanced down at the ring placed on her ring finger. He had asked her to marry him three weeks before he found out that she was going to have to fly to Paris for school. �I love you too Lance.� she quickly grabbed her purse from the counter and followed him out to his bright yellow motorcycle. She climbed on back and they quickly sped off towards JC�s house where the party was being held. �They should be here shortly.� Justin said standing up on a ladder to string the last of the crepe paper from the ceiling. There was a giant Bon Voyage banner hanging from the ceiling as well. Joey and Chris walked inside and glanced up. �It looks nice dude.� Chris said giving his girlfriend Jade a kiss on the lips. Jade was also Amber�s best friend. �I can�t believe that she is going away. Lance is going to miss her so much.� Jade said glancing over to JC. Amber was JC�s little sister and he always watched out for her. JC had been very upset when he found out that she was going to be gone for so long. Jade noticed the lines on his face whee fresh tears had begun to fall. She gave Chris a quick sympathetic look before walking over and sitting down next to him. �Josh? What�s wrong hun?� She asked him gently putting a hand on his shoulder. �She�s my little sister man. I�ve *always* watched out for her, and now I am not going to be able too. What happens if something happens to her and I am not there to try and stop anything?� he glanced up in time to see his sister and Lance walk into the room. He smiled gently at Jade and walked over to his sister. �You will call me the minute that you get there right?� �You know it bro. God, I am going to miss you JC.� she whispered and pulled him in for a hug. Fresh tears were evident. �I�ll miss you too.� he pulled away and looked at her. �God you have grown up so much since the first day I held you in my arms when you were born.� �Duh! Your such a goof. Don�t go getting all mushy on me now. I�ve been keeping the crying to an all time low, don�t let me break it.� she smirked at him before walking away to join Lance. �I love you baby.� He lightly kissed her head and sighed. �I love you too.� �Shall we go and get this par-tay started?� she asked laughing. �Amber?� JC said gripping Lacey; his girlfriend�s hand. �I was going to wait until your wedding day to give this to you but since you are going away I wanted you to have this now.� he smiled and handed her a small long box that was wrapped in bright yellow foil paper. �Bright yellow..nice color JC.� Amber laughed as she opened up the gift. She gasped when she opened the velvet box. Inside was a gold watch, with diamonds. She gently pulled the watch out to look at it. She flipped it over and the underside of the watch was inscripted. It read: To The Best Sister In The World- Josh -October 31st. �Josh. Thank you so much. It�s beautiful.� she immediately clasped it around her slender wrist. �Before we all start to really party, I wanted to say some things. First. Lance, you mean the world to me. I couldn�t have asked for a more perfect love than what you give me. I love you for that and when we get back we will be married. Josh, your the best big brother in the world. Even though you used to beat the crap out of me.� everyone laughed at her comment. �Lacey, you better take good care of my brother while I am gone or else I will hunt you down and beat you severely.� �Don�t worry Amber. I will take GREAT care of him.� �Justin, Chris and Joey. You three we�re the other brothers in my life. You all mean the world to me. Anyone treats you bad, tell me and I will kill them all.� she smiled at everyone before turning to the last person. �Jade. Girl, you always we�re there for me. I love you for that and I only ask one thing from you.� �What is it?� �CALM Christopher down before I get back. PLEASE?� �I�ll try.� she laughed and ran over to Amber hugging her. �I am going to miss you so much. You are the greatest person in the world.� �Hey now everyone. All of the guys have a special present for Amber. Lance wrote this song and he wrote it for you Amber.� Justin said handing all of the guys a mic. Lance went over to the CD player and inserted a special CD. Amber was placed in the center and she smiled when the song started to play through out the house. She walked over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. �God Lance. What am I going to do without you there with me?� �You will be just fine honey.� He glanced down at his watch. �I think we need to be going guys. It�s already twelve and she has a flight at eight.� They tugged on their coats and Amber walked over to JC. �Josh, you take care of yourself for me. And when you get the chance will you come and visit me?� she asked him wiping away the tears that we�re now streaming down her cheeks. �You know that I will. Take care Ambs.� he kissed her on her cheek and watched as she said goodbye to everyone else. �Amber?� �Yeah?� she asked as she was half way through the door. �I love you.� �I love you too JC.� she smiled and left. Little did everyone know, that was the last time any of them would ever see her again. *End of Flashback* The Present �Things aren�t the same without you here Amber.� Lance whispered to the air. He pulled on his black hat and headed out of the house. He was on his way to the funeral for his fianc�. When she was over in Paris one of the trains she was on, wrecked and was engulfed in flames. Only ten people died in the accident and his beloved Amber was on of them. He got the news from Amber�s mother and it felt as if the whole world had come crashing down around him. He drove the short distance to the funeral home where everyone was waiting for him. JC ran out and grabbed him pulling him close. �I can�t believe she�s gone...my sister is gone.� he sobbed. �JC, it�s alright. I know how you are feeling come on inside.� he took a deep breath and wiped away the tears. He had to be strong today. Amber would kick his butt if she knew he was so upset. But what more could he do. He loved her with everything that he had. There was a song playing in the backround. At first Lance couldnt recognize it but after moments, he figured it out. It was the song he had played for Amber at her going away party. He smiled when he thought of that night. He knew that wherever she was, she was happy. He would join her sooner or later.
