| Had to put the photographs of you away/It hurts so much to see you smile at me /Since you've been away I feel an empty space/That will never be replace with memories/Oh I can't believe that it's over Lance looked up at the bright sun that was now setting in the pale purplish, pink sky. He plucked the last petal off of the yellow rose and watched as it floated through out the coming night. Standing up he brushed the dirt from his jeans and glanced down at the Granite gravestone. Amber. He couldnt believe that she was gone. It had been a year and he still hadnt really moved on with his life. He felt as thought he was cheating on her, even though he knew that she wasnt coming back to him. Not now. Not ever. He lightly kissed his fingertips and placed them on the top of the gravestone. This was the only way he could ever kiss her again. He sighed and dragged his feet back to his car where JC was solemnly waiting in the car. He reached the door and climbed inside. Glancing over at JC he could see the tears welling up in his eyes. I know Josh. I know. he whispered as he pulled Josh into a warm and waiting embrace. The drive home was silent until they pulled up in front of Lances Ranch style home. Thanks man. No problem. You need anything dont hesitate to call. JC said with a half-hearted smile. It was the best he could do. He lost the most important thing in his life a year ago. His sister. Same for you Josh. he smiled as he turned his back on JC and walked up to his door unlocking it and walking inside, the heat rushing to warm his body. He shut the door behind him, and threw his coat and hat on the floor beside the closet. He grabbed a beer out of the fridge and walked over to the fireplace. He flipped the switch on and immediately a fake fire lit up, more heat coming from the vents. He grabbed a blanket and curled up on the couch alone. Alone. He hated being alone. Sometimes he couldnt stand it anymore and would throw things that belonged to Amber against the wall. Hoping by crushing the things that reminded him of her, that maybe the hurt would go away. It just made it worse. I tell myself that I'm not missing you /But my heart it just won't listen (Just won't listen)/Even though I tell it to/I think about it all the time/Can't seem to get you off my mind /And it just don't seem to matter what I do/Can't stop missing you (missing you)/I'm missing you Lance awoke in the middle of the night, sweat dripping from his forehead. He took in his surrounding and noticed that he was still in the dining room. He swiftly wiped away the beads of perspiration from his forehead and walked over to the window. It was snowing outside. He hated snow. Everything in the world he hated at that moment. I cant live like this anymore. he whispered to the air as he walked to the bathroom and picking up a razor blade. Amber, Ill see you soon. With those final words he swiped the razor across the vanilla colored fleh and watched as the blood came pouring out of the fresh wound. The crimson liquid hit the tan tiled floor in little drops. Soon his breath altered and he fell to the ground. His life pooled out around him as his breath came in short gasps now. His eyes fluttered one more time as he took his last breath and made his journey back to his love. Take Me Home | Kaotic Angel's Fiction| Send Me Feedback |
