I want to see anything you have to show me! Besides any and all forms of media, I'm also interested in:
- promotional items press kits or merchandise etc, exclusives in particular since those are less likely to crop up for me elsewhere. This category includes things like mcdonald's toys, trading cards, printed napkins, posters, whatever.
- toys any toy of any kind, including dolls, plushes, puzzles, board games, paperdolls, miniatures, etc.
- physical media any type, but I'm mainly looking for it with the inserts, if it had them. Cover art is typically fairly easy to find, but lyric books and chaper lists and things like that tend to be ignored.
- pamphlets any text considered "less" than a book, like flyers, brochures, etc are almost always in critical danger of loss. I have less than no quality standards on these: please send me literally anything, using common sense.
- games both the physical inserts from the retail case and the game itself. This also includes entirely online games and minigames (like on the Nick website).
- books I collect science fiction and old textbooks. Unpopular, small-run books can easily be forgotten, so even if they aren't great (and most sci-fi isn't), I try to keep track of them.
- comics did you draw a shitty strip for your school newspaper 20 years ago and just find it in your closet? Give it to me. Full issues of anything are great, but strip and even single panel stuff is good too. This also includes artbooks.
In asking for these things, I mean I want you to send me PICTURES, SCANS, or LINKS, but if you do want to pass your junk off to me, I would love that. I'm serious about accepting anything- stickers, branded paper plates, promotional soda cans, boxes with no game and anything in between are all AWESOME.
In addition, I'd like to see any personal videos, photos, or recording you feel willing to give me! This includes things like amateur film/photography/music and home video/family photos/audio diaries, plus whatever else you may have. If you want to send me something for the archive but NOT have me upload it, just say so! Same goes for how you want to be credited.
SUPER IMPORTANT NOTE: There is absolutely no age limit on submissions. I know it seems like I only want 'old' or 'retro' stuff, but I really just want anything that's not widely available. Newer things tend to be much more easily located and preserved, so there's less motivation for me to look for and save them, but if you think it fits just send it over. This applies less to modern websites because I think they're ugly but you can use your own sense of judgement on this.
