Then and Now Chapter 40 The girls watched as the boys headed towards them. They exchanged nervous glances amongst themselves as the guys got closer. "Maybe we can run?" Han whispered. "Nah no chance now." Jenn said anxiously as D smiled at her. Krys watched as AJ walked over and pulled her to her feet. "Krys, honey." "Oh no! I know what their up to!" she yelled as AJ picked her up and started carrying her away. Everyone turned and watched as Ryan opened the front door and AJ took Krys outside in the rain, "Bri don't you dare!" Han said as Bri went to pick her up off the couch. He gave her an apologetic smile. "We made a pact..sorry"Krys stared at AJ as the downpouring rain soaked through their clothes within seconds. "You nut!" she yelled over the rain. He laughed. "You said you wanted us out in the rain...well now we're all out here." he motioned to the rest of the guys dragging the girls out of the cabin. Ang groaned as Ryan set her on her feet. "Do NOT make me sing Quit Playing Games!" she yelled over the rain. Kevin and Ryan exchanged looks. "Hey that isn't a bad idea." Kevin said, "The girlfriends can sing our parts, what do you think guys?" Han bent over and picked up a handful of mud, she noticed Bri wasn't paying any attention he was too busy talking to Nick. "Yo b!" she yelled. Just as he turned to face her she threw the mud in his face. "Oh she didn't!" Nick said laughing. Lis smirked. "She did." she said grabbing a handful of mud and rubbing it on his shirt. Nick just stared at her in shock. "Lissy you didn't just..." "Oh I did...and oopsies did it again." she said as she stuck another handful of mud on his shirt. "This is getting good huh Jenn?" D asked with a laugh. He turned to see Jenn standing beside him shaking her head. "You know D, I think Han and Lis had the right idea." She said walking closer to him. He started to move away but fell back into a mud hole. "Guys help I'm stuck!" D yelled as Jenn just laughed. "Oh stand there and laugh!" he said shaking his head as he tried to stand up. "Think that's what I'm doing." Jenn said as she started walking away. "Hey don't leave me like this! Jenn...Jenn wait come back!" Nina nodded at Aimee and started to move closer to Kevin. "So this was all your idea huh?" He smiled and ran a hand through his wet hair, "Yeah pretty good huh?" "Oh its a great idea." Aimee said coming up behind him and pushing him face first into a patch of mud. "But that...that one is better." She smirked and high fived Nina. Han looked at Brian. "I can't believe you." she said as she looked towards the cabin. "Why's the door closed?" He turned. "What...it should be open. Ryan did you shut the door?" Ryan stopped trying to get the mud off his face. "No it was open when I brought Ang out." his eyes stopped on the door. "Okay how the hell did it close?" "Well who's got the key?" Brian asked looking at each of the soaking wet people scattered around the front of the cabin. Ang made a face. "Its in my jacket which is on the couch...IN THE DAMN CABIN!" she yelled. Everyone turned and glared at Kevin. "Sorry! We can always go back to our cabin." he suggested. Nick shook his head. "The keys to our cabin is on the coffee table in the girls cabin." "That's it we're gonna die!" AJ yelled, sitting down on a wet rock. "The Backstreet Boys and they're girlfriends die of hypothermia in the Kentucky Wilderness because Kevy had a bright idea." He gave Kevin a deadly stare as he talked. Krys rubbed her arms as the rain started coming down harder. "Standing here isn't gonna do anything." she said as her teeth started chattering. "Boyd." Lis said, softly. Nick stared at her like she'd lost her mind. "What?" "Boyd and Brandon are still in the cabin!" she yelled excitedly. "Why didn't you say so!" Nick said as he started running towards the door and pounding on it. Ryan shook his head. "Well if we had better memories we would have known that." "If Kev wasn't being such a pain in the butt we'd all be warm and dry!" AJ whined, walking slowly towards the cabin. Krys smirked as she walked behind him. "Da na na na na." she sang. Kev, AJ, Brian and Howie turned and glared at her. "What? What did I do?" she asked innocently. Han sighed as she walked over to Lis and Jenn. "Sometimes I wonder about those boys." Nina nodded as she started towards the cabin. "Sometimes? How about all the time? Then you gotta wonder about us who are date them!" Brandon woke up slowly, hearing the sound of pounding. "Boyd...you hear something?" Boyd nodded, still half asleep. "They're probably trying to lure us out there to kill us." "Nah its coming like from a distance." Brandon stated climbing off the two chairs he'd been laying on and stumbling through the living room. He was surprised to find it deserted. "Jeez I'm coming!" He yelled as he neared the door. He opened it shocked to find everyone crowded on the stairs. "You guys do know its storming?" he asked with a small smile. "Oh shut up Brandon." Nick said, pushing by him. Lis gave Brandon a weak smile. "Thanks for opening the door." "No problem..." he said to her and quickly walked back into the kitchen. Ang looked at everyone as they walked inside. "We girls are going upstairs to dry off...you six just stay down here..." Han shook her head and looked back at the guys before going up the stairs. "Men!" she said. "Women!" Brian yelled back.
