Then and Now Chapter 36 Kevin walked in the back door of the cabin and shook off his wet rain slicker, tossing it over the chair and heading into the living room. "Evening all." He greeted, taking a seat near Nina. "Guys, this is Kevin Richardson...Kevin this is Brandon and this is Boyd." Aimee introduced them. They exchanged pleasantries. "So Kevin, where'd you appear from?" Brandon asked. "The guys cabin. Had to change before I came over." he smiled, picking up on something under the nice exteriors of these two boyfriends."Why do I feel less then relieved about that 'oh boy'?" Brian asked, staring at Han wide eyed. Han started peeling the lid off the water bottle. "Because I'm less then enthused?" she whispered. She looked up slowly at Brian. "Oh boy." "Are you planning on making oh boy your catch phrase?" he asked with a nervous laugh. "No...Does Lis know Boyd's here?" "That's what Nick's telling her right now." "Well that'll be a confrontation not to be missed." She watched as a confused look appeared on his face. "I mean Lis seeing Boyd...he's been cheating on her a long time B." "What about you and Brandon?" She shrugged. "Blinded by perfection?" "You're saying he was perfect?" Bri nearly yelled. "B, calm down." Krys laughed as AJ chased her down the stairs. She stopped suddenly causing AJ to run into back of her. "What�s wrong babe?" he whispered, wrapping his arms around her waist. Krys looked down the hallway, "Does it look like there's something going on?" she said motioning to the two couples. AJ looked from room to room. "Well if there is lets stay out of this." She turned around. "Bone..." she flattened the collar on his red plaid shirt. "I know that look Krys, we're getting involved aren't we?" She gave him a sweet smile. "They're your brothers and our friends...we should see if we can help in some way." AJ sighed. "You can get me to do anything can't you?" "Pretty much." she replied, a large smile on her face. "Now lets go." Krys grabbed his arm. "Hmmm you take Bri and Han, I'll check on Nick and Lis." she instructed shoving him in the direction of the kitchen. AJ laughed to himself and headed for Rok. Nick looked up seeing Krys hovering in the doorway. "Hi Krys." "Hey guys, something up? You look a little, what�s the word? Oh yeah weird." she raised an eyebrow. Lis looked at Nick and took a deep breath. "My boyfriend's in the other cabin." "Lis, Nick's right in front of you." "She means Boyd..." Nick jumped to his feet, sick of hearing that name for the millionth time in an hour. "I'm going to get some air." he muttered and walked out the front door, slamming it behind him. Krys shuddered as the door slammed and she went over, sitting down on the couch. "So exactly what the hell is going on?" "Hey you two." AJ said loudly, walking into the kitchen. He grabbed a bottled water from the fridge and turned, leaning against the counter. Han and Bri just stared at him in surprise. 'Oh good one Bone' he said to himself as he took a drink of his water. "What's up?" Brian sighed. "Well we've got company at the girls cabin." AJ raised an eyebrow. "Angry parents after you and Nicky?" "I almost wish." Han said, getting to her feet. She walked over and looked out the window, staring at the cabin across the gravel driveway. AJ gave B a questioning look. "Its Boyd and Brandon." "And these two would be...?" he asked confused. Han turned around. "Brandon's my boyfriend and Boyd is Lis'." AJ nearly spit out his water. "How is that possible?" "Apparently, and Han interupt me if this is wrong...they never informed the boys it was over." Bri said, shooting Han a dirty look. Nick paced the deck, clenching and unclenching his fists. He'd never felt stupider in his life, he couldn't remember ever asking if she broke up with Boyd. He knew about the phone call where a female picked up when she called but not once did he ever remember her looking him in the eyes and going 'Its over with him'. "Stupid, stupid, stupid." "Same here." Bri said, walking out the back door AJ followed. "Guys, as much as I hate to be the sane one here has either of you realized maybe they don't want those two? I mean neither Han or Lis are running across the driveway yelling those guys' names." Bri and Nick exchanged looks. "And Nick...Han just said he's been cheating on Lis for a long time." B stated. Nick sighed. "And Lis told me Han wasn't too sure about how she really felt about Brandon...they did separate before they went on this trip." "See...okay group hug!!" AJ said with a cheesy grin, holding out both his arms. Both Bri and Nick turned and stared at him in horror. "Little over the top?" "Yeah man." Nick said, heading around to the front of the cabin.
