When Never Is Forever Chapter 3 A silver charm braclet. It was beautiful, with small charms all around it. The charms seemed to describe Nick's life, from the video game paddle to the basketball to the music note and cd. Sandra let her breath out in a long, slow gasp. "Oh, Nick!" she breathed, "it's beautiful!" "You don't think I'm buying you do you? I mean, I don't want you to be mad..." Sandra silenced him with a kiss. "No, I love it! Rich tried to buy me with something he had been carrying around in case he saw a cute girl on the first day. This looks like it actually means something." she said looking at it closer and examing the different charms. Obviously, some were different ages and colors, some made cheaply and some looking like they might have been more expensive. "It does mean something. My grandmother got that for me before I was born, she was hoping for a girl, and I've been keeping it in a drawer and adding charms to it every year. That's why they all look so different. See," he pointed to a baby rattle and a small toy truck, "These are from my first two years." Sandra gasped again then looked at Nick in surprise. "I can't except this. We've only known eachother a week." she said holding it out to him. "No, I want you to have it. The other day, I was in the store looking for this years charm and I saw the perfect one. I decided it was time to give the braclet away. To the person who the new charm reminded me of." Nick gently took the braclet and picked up one of the charms and showed it to Sandra. It was a small golden heart, the only gold one on it, it was placed right next a small silver cross. Sandra took the braclet and looked more closely at the charm. "Turn it over." Nick instructed. Sandra did as she was told. On the back of the heart were the initials S.M. "Oh my gosh Nick.... I've never gotten anything this beautiful in my life." she breathed. "I hope you like it." he replied hopefully. "Like it? I love it!" she hugged him tightly, then let him put it on her. "I'm glad you do." he said as he kissed her. "But why do you want to give it to me? I hadn't even heard of you a week and a half ago." she said with her voice wavering. "Maybe that's part of why.... But really I guess it's because I believe in love at first sight. Well actually second sight. The first time I saw you, I kind of got knocked down. But the second time, when I saw you leaning against the wall, I fell in love. I felt like I had known my entire life. And like I wanted to share the rest with you." Nick explained sexily. "You love me? Aren't you moving kind of fast?" Sandra asked incrediously. "I just know that I've never felt this way about anyone in my entire life, and I'm not about to let it go now." Nick said. "Oh, Nick! I love you too!!" Sandra hugged him again, this time followed by a kiss. "I never thought I would find someone who loved me this much!" she exclaimed into his shoulder. "Sometimes never is forever." Nick whispered softly into her ear. |
