Remember Me? by Rachelle ([email protected]) Chapter 13 "Who's this?" Nick asked as he held up a framed photo of Trinity and a guy. "Will you stop going through my stuff. If you don't knock it off I will make you check into a hotel." she threatened, grabbing the frame from him and instead of putting it back on her nightstand she put it in the drawer. "Comfy bed" he said as he rolled around. "NICK YOU ARE MESSING UP MY COVERS" she hollered as she hit him with a pillow. Laughing he looked up at her "Since when did you start to care whether things were messy" he asked a devious smile on his face. "You are a pain in the ass" she said bluntly eyeing him wearily. "I am a pain. Ha. I think not" he said indignantly as he reached over and took the picture out again. "Nick-" she began to protest but he broke in "Spill who is he Trinity?" Looking down at her hands Trinity sighed "His name was Steve" she said quietly as she took the frame from his hands. "I loved him. He changed. I left. Thats all there is to it" she muttered. "He changed?" he asked worry in his eyes as he sat up and looked at her. Feeling a lump grow in her throat she nodded "Yea...I..Um..betrayed him" she said so softly he could barely hear her but as she went on she tried to make her voice slightly more audible "And so he couldn't bear the thought. He couldn't stand me. So he left. For a month. No Goodbye. No I hate you. No I don't want to be with you. It was the hardest month of my life..." she said as tears filled her eyes as she turned away from Nick and hung her slender legs over the side of the King Size bed. "he came back. And he changed. Things were never the same after that. He's here. But he's different. And I think it is more painful than if he never came back. It's like a wound that never heals" she muttered as a single tear slipped past her heart and out her eye and down her high cheekbones. "Trinity" Nick said quietly as he reached for her arm but she hopped off the bed and spun around to face him a bright smile plastered on her face "I really want some pizza. Will you come with me?"
