Dance Class Chapter 4 Carson sat on her bed and planned out routines for them to do trying not to make them hard or easy....or what would they be? She didnt know what level they were, she didnt know how to go about planning. But she had seen their dances on tv. She guessed they were advanced by the steps they did but some were also in the begginners level so she decided to just do whatever and if they could do it great if not she'd improvise.She packed her bag with a multiple of cds so that she would have a little bit of everything,and to give them their own choice of what they wanted to dance to. "This isnt going to be so bad,"she thought.She looked at her clock 12:05. She decided to get ready for bed.She reached to her neck to take off the silver chain that held her dad's dog tags from the Air Force plus a special one made for her with her name,address,and phone number on it, but it wasnt there. She took a few minutes to look around for it but to her dismay it wasnt anywhere. She went to bed discouraged becuase they had sentimental value,but she also went to bed discouraged because the next day would be Friday which also meant that the day after that would be Saturday. Carson awoke the next morning to the sound of the phone ringing. She gazed over at her alarm clock which read noon,she was always a late sleeper.She struggled to pick up the phone but eventually succeeded. "Hello?" she asked half asleep.The voice on the other end answered "Hey is this Carson?"she didnt know who it was."Yes,who is this?"she asked. "Oh my bad did I wake you up?This is Aj."said the voice. Not believing what she was hearing simply because he had disturbed her slumber. "Yeah,but its a good thing you did,I tend to fall into a coma sometimes,um how did you get my number?"she asked still trying to wake up competely. "Oh you left your necklace in my car,it has your number and your apartment number on it."he said. "Oh gosh Ive been lookin everywhere for it" She sighed in relief because she was really glad that someone had found it.But anyways she thought of the number that was signed on the page with his autograph."Well i guess we have an even exchange of phone numbers now dont we?" She said while walking across the hall to the kitchen(cordless phone).He didnt answer but he laughed a little."Well hey I'm gonna be at the dance studio on Saturday so could you give me my necklace then?" "Sure no prob" he said."Hey how's your arm?" "Its allright,"Carson said "But its sore." "Well hope it feels better & stuff" he said. "Thanks,"she said,"Well hey I gotta get dressed,I have some stuff I need to do today,thanks for calling" "Cool, well I'll let ya go then"he said,"See ya" "Bye"said Carson and then slammed the phone down. And in a spasm of happiness she scooped up her dog and squeezed him as he frantically tried to get away.She finally dropeed him and went about her business. HE CALLED ME she thought......SO WHAT said her "other"conscience I"M TALKING TO MYSELF she said aloud.She calmed herself down and went ahead and took a shower.She got dressed quickly because she had a lot to do that day. She put on a pair of dark denim overalls over a white tank top and scooped her hair into messy up-do' that looked pretty cool. She looked at her arm which was beggining to sting. She took some tylenol for the time being, that other stuff knocked her out.Well today she had to go to the Virgin Records store to pick up the new Britney Spears cd(***check out BritneySpears at www.peeps.com/britney***),and to browse around for anything else that might be cool, then she had to go to the Music Outlet to pick up a floppy for her keyboard which she played every-so-often and she liked to record what she liked. She got into her car and put her cell phone on the charger. She walked into the Virgin Records Superstore and noticed it wasnt as full as usual.She went over to the POP/ROCK section, and searched for Britney Spears. As she was searching she heard someone behind her say "Quit following me" and she turned around and Aj was standing right behind her with a goofy smile on his face. "Oh geeze you scared me!"Carson said truely surprised,"What are you doing here?" "Well see I heard that they sold cds here sooo.......no i'm here pickin up an import i ordered."he said "I see..... whatcha got?"she said tryin to see what he had behind his back. "I have imported Steve Perry and Busta Rhymes.Hes got a cool cd."he said showing her what he had. "I have Britney Spears she said taking one of the copies from the shelf. "Nice girl,"he said,"She opened up for us once" Carson was beggining to feel more comfortable around him. But just as her comfy feeling came it left because Howie came up and started talking to Aj about something.Aj saw Carson's eyes get wide in amazement, and Aj cut Howie off mid sentance "Yo D ...STOP please allow 30 seconds for the starstruck feeling to pass he said pointing to Carson. Howie looked at her and smiled, she smiled back. "Cooool"said Carson and immidiatly felt dorky. Howie laughed a little and said hi then yanked Aj away..."Ah" "Come here man i wanna show you something" he paused."Gosh you flirt with everyone" "No dude i konw her kinda"Aj said looking over at Carson who was standing there starring. Howie stopped "Hehehe my bad" he said and walked back to her. Aj turned to her and said "Carson...Howie....Howie...Carson:" "Hi sorry I didnt know he was talking to you." Howie said. A dumb comment Carson thought but no biggie. "Thats ok, i have to go anyway, I'm on a sware" Carson said as nicely as possible."Bye guys" she said as she turned to leave. "Nice meeting you" Howie said after her. Then Aj called out "WAIT.....waitwaitwait he" he said running after her. He put his hand down his shirt(odd she thought) but he brought up a necklace over his head and handed it too her, it was her dog tags. "OH THANKS! she cried,"Like I told you I would die if I lost these." "Hehe no prob I'll see ya later" He said and walked back to Howie. Carson walked to the counter to pay,and then left.As she made her way to the parking lot couldnt help but have butterflies in her stomache.Well 2 down three to go she thought.Next: Chapter 5 |
