A Song With A Story Chapter 2 "There are people who say what you wanna hearEven on a rainy day they tell you the sky is clear" ~*~ Brian looked Jayma in the eye, he knew she was lying again, but he didn't want to believe that she would do this to him again. "Brian? You do believe me, right? I really was at my mom's house. Sweetie?" "Yea, ok. But next time remember we had plans, and call if you can't make it." He gave in reluctantly. There was really nothing he could to do change her. He just wished she didn't have to hurt him so much. "I knew you'd understand. I love you." This was a thing she said and he knew she was telling the truth. Why would she lie about something like that? "I love you too, Jayma." ~*~ "When you really really love someone Am I right when I say that you want them near And if you care you even tell them things that they wanna hear" ~*~ She snuggled close and lightly kissed his bare shoulder. "Brian." she whispered "I wish we could just lay like this forever." "Me too, I love you so much." "I love you too, and I always will, forever." ~*~ "Always forever (Oh..think she said) Never say never (Those simple lies that she fed me) I will never leave you (all the love I thought she had) But can you blame me, no. cause that's what she said" ~*~ "Hey Jayma! Wait up!" AJ called to her. She turned and stopped, waiting for him to catch up. "Whats up?" he asked when he was walking next to her. "I'm just going to a party, wanna come?" she asked. "No, I thought you were eating dinner with Brian tonight?" "Oh no, I forgot. Do you have your cell phone?" "Sure, here." he handed it to her, and she quickly dialed Brians number. "Hello?" Brian answered. "Hi, it's me, I'm running late, I couldn't get a taxi. I ran into AJ and I think he'll give me a ride. Okay?" she said sweetly. "Okay, but hurry, I made us dinner and it's getting cold." "Okay sweetie, see you there." she made a kissing noise and hung up. AJ gave her a look as she handed back the phone. "What?" she asked innocently. "You shouldn't lie to him, he would've understood." "I didn't want to make him mad, so sue me. You'll give me a ride, right?" "Yea, sure, ok." ~*~ "And there are people that say what they really mean She said she'll always be there She said she'll always care" ~*~ Jayma kissed Brian softly, then looked back to the movie. She sighed softly, then looked at her watch. She was supposed to meet Alex in an hour. She looked at Brian, she felt bad about cheating on him, but when Alex asked her out, she couldn't resist. Besides, he'd never find out, right? "Are you okay? You seem kind of nervous." Brian whispered to her. "I'm fine, I just have to baby-sit Jeanie in an hour. I'll come over afterwards, I promise." she replied, also in a whisper. "Okay." he whispered. He wondered if he should follow her to her baby-sitting job, he wanted to be sure he could trust her. ~*~ "But just when you think that you can trust that someone you love Tell me why do you know how stars can fall from above" ~*~ "Hi Alex, how are you?" she gave him a quick kiss. They were in front of a mediumly fancy resturant. "Great, now that your here. Let's go in?" "Sure." They linked arms and walked in together. Brian gripped the steering wheel, not sure whether to break down and cry, or go into an angry rage. He had seen the whole thing. ~*~ "Cause you made promises that you couldn't keep You're not hurting yourself, you're only hurting me Why would you say things that you really didn't mean Oh how can I make you see just what you did to me" ~*~ Brian was waiting patiently when she came home to their apartment. "Hi Sweetie!" she said cheerfully, leaning down and kissing him on the cheek. He could smell his aftershave. He had noticed it before, but had thought maybe she had hugged Jeanie's father (her brother) or something. Now the smell made him feel sick. "How was baby-stting?" he asked calmly, swallowing the lump in his throat. "It was ok, Jeanie had fun, is something wrong?" she asked, looking worried. "Jayma, we need to talk." "What's wrong?" "I followed you, I saw you with that guy." "Brian...." "I'm sorry, but it's him or me." "Well....... then I guess it's over between us." ~*~ "Oh you said how much you really care Just when I thought I was in love Girl, how could you dare If I were you, I could not lie even once To the face of the one that I love so much" ~*~ Love is lots of pain and confusion, whether it works out or not. Maybe Jayma could have changed, but she wasn't that type. He thought she would love him forever, he thought she could settle down. But thats what she said. |
