Always You... Chapter 1 It was exactly a week later when Kamarah finally found the time to escape to her favorite spot again. The night was silent and still. There was a slight mugginess to the air, and the ocean was still, only lapping up to the shore every once in a while. Kamarah closed her eyes as she walked through the soft sand, her long, white, silk sundress flying up behind her slightly as she tip-toed down the beach. In reaching her spot, Kamarah sat down among the wild grass and opened her songbook. The gentle humming of the crickets, and the faint music of birds carried along in the distance, the atmosphere was perfect, yet, she couldnt write, something was blocking her thoughts. I am never going to finish this song if I cant free my mind, Kamarah mumbled. Knowing that getting angry with herself would only cause worse problems for her writing, Kamarah set her gaze upon the sky. The stars twinkled so brightly that their shimmering reflections in the water were just as bright as themselves. Kamarah tried very hard to drift into her own world, the world where she seemed to gather up most of her creativity when suddenly something snapped her out of her own thoughts. What in the- she began as she looked down to find a boat coming towards her, slowing down, and then stopping about as far out as the last time. Kamarahs curiosity got the best of her, she couldnt help but wonder if it was the man that she saw on the boat last time she came. As she waded out in the luke warm, crystal clear water, the feeling of peacefulness and comfort began to come over her again, as well as an overwhelming feeling of sadness, loneliness, love and lust at the same time. All of this hit her at the same exact time and pushed Kamarah back. Dizzy, Kamarah held her head and regained herself; she was close to the man and the boat, even closer than before. God give me the strength. The boy cried out as he threw something out into the ocean again, but instead of immediately going to the wheel of his boat and driving off, this time he fell to his knees and covered his face with his hands and wept. Kamarah stood still and watched the man, intrigued by his mysteriousness. After five minutes, a slight breeze started up and the man slowly brought himself up again and made his way to the wheel of the boat. As Kamarah watched the man, everything within her opened, her mind was free and her heart was full, I see your mystery ship out on the water, I wonder where its sailing to. Kamarah began to sing as she watched the boat drive away into the darkness. Where did that come from? Kamarah asked herself aloud, surprised by her sudden release. Before she could forget, Kamarah ran back up to shore and picked up her songbook, wrote it down and closed her eyes trying to find more where the line had come from. I see your mystery ship out on the water, I wonder where its sailing to. Kamarah felt such a feeling of love and sadness as she sang the line, a single tear fell down her cheek, and all she could think about was the man in the boat, Is someone waiting in some other harbor. And then the thoughts stopped and Kamarah looked out across the ocean, and the boat was fully out of sight.Next: Chapter 2 |
