Peas and Carrots Chapter 16 Nick walked back in the room. "Brian said he�d be glad to come with us to Disney. It took a bit of convincing, but I told him that I had company over, and that he would have lots of fun if he decided to come." "That�s great," I replied. "I hope it doesn�t get too chaotic there with all the girls screaming and stuff." Nick leaned against the frame of the bedroom door. "Well, usually, unless they�re pretty young and think that they�re going to marry me," Nick laughed, "they�ll just come up for an autograph or a hug and then leave us alone." "That�s good to hear. I don�t want to go deaf so early in life with all those girls screaming! I mean, when we stepped outside to go to the beach, I almost had to cover my ears!" I said, still sitting on the bed. "Yeah, Mom says it�s usually only like this when I�m here, but when we�re on tour, it�s pretty quiet around here, I guess." "So why the fence? Aside from security? Were people breaking in you house and stealing stuff?" "No, nothing like that. They would take clumps of grass from our yard or steal flowers out of the flower bed in front. We�d have all these bare spots in the yard, and it was getting ugly, so we had to do someting about it," Nick replied. "Ah, that makes sense."Next: Chapter 17 |
