One Sweet Day Chapter 8 Brian and Tina talked for the rest of the night. Tina had brought over boxes of pictures and they talked about the good times they shared with Nicole. To tell you the truth it brought Tina and Brian closer together as friends. Two days later they had Nicole's funeral. Tina had prepared a little speech in her honor. "Nicole Samantha Regal was my bestfriend. But she was more than a bestfriend. She was more like a sister. She lost her parents in '96, but that only made her a stronger person. Her dream was to be a fashion designer and start her own line of fashion. And she made her dream come true. She had everything she ever wanted in life and it's a shame that she couldn't live her life to it's fullest potential. But they say god works in mysterious ways. And maybe he has a plan for her up in heaven. She will always be remembered in our minds, hearts, and souls. And her presence shall remain forever. Thank You."Tina stepped down and sat next to Nick. After the ceremony everyone had left. Nick, A. J., Kevin, and Howie were waiting in the limo. Brian and Tina were the last two standing there looking at the grave. "Brian?" Tina asked. "Yeah?" "I know we were never that close, but after this experience I was wondering..." "Yes?" "Well, I was wondering, I dunno, would you be my bestfriend?" she asked hopefully. "Of course. If you don't want to be alone in that apartment you can move in with me any time. I'm kinda alone myself. Be my roommate." "Yeah, I would like that." They both walked out of the cemetery together. As time went by Brian and Tina became the best of friends. And not a day has gone by that they haven't thought about Nicole.Sorry, I never told you. |
