After the success of Rurouni Kenshin's anime,

four OVA's (Original Video Animation) of the

wandering samurai appeared.

1st OVA: Slashing Man

2nd OVA:Lost Cat

3rd OVA: Midnight Mountain

4rth OVA:Cross Scar

These four OVA's show us a completely different

style like the one it has the Anime. With these four

movies we find a much more serious story with

lots of real historical background.

The OVA's narrate us the story of Kenshin's

trangical past, his childhood while he was still

called Shinta, his murders as Hitokiri Battousai,

how he got his X scar on his face, and how he met

a girl called Tomoe Yukishiro.

According to Nabuhiro Watsuki, these OVA's didn't

make to the anime but should be next to the Kyoto

chapter.

A movie edition of the four OVA's appeared, which

is a combination of all them.
