Albert's family made $ picking Tamarack, and were artistic & musically talented.
In my research, I have found the Westmark's did not arrive into MN until after 1880. With only a few starting out in this state.  They seemed to be mostly from Sweden.  A few from Norway and a few from Russia.  My Great-Grandfather ALBERT WESTMARK seems to be one of these immigrants.  I am sharing what I have in hopes to help others with their WESTMARK searches. You are more then welcome to use this information provided it is in a non-profit "helping others" way, and not given to the "money-extorting-commercial genealogist companies/sites". I was unable to find any WESTMARK's in the 1880 MN Soundex.The children were not born in MN until 1890's...so, perhaps WESTMARK's did not get to MN until after 1880.
1890 MN Census mostly detroyed by a fire in 1921.
5-8 1890 WESTMARK, Nils left Copenhagen Denmark/Sweden at the age of 21, (b.1869)
He was a "Smed"   (Blacksmith). #3792 Sverring (?) I9091V0109. Arriving in Minneapolis, MN.

1880 WESTMARK, Henry went to Kansas. Then up to Royalton MN.
Wrote to his parents: Carl (.1830/.3-28-1912) & ANNA MARGARET WESTMARK (1834-1917 MN)  in Djeval/GefleGAVLE (by Stockholm Sweden)
to come to MN & bring adopted little brother Albert Westmark.
In 1904 Henry and parents moved to Minnetonka, MN. This is where his parents died.

b. Annie Swanson Munson  b.3-29-1865 Sweden (Henry's wife) Her mother drowned.
3. Nils/Nels b. 1869 Sweden. Lived at 207 6th NE Hennepin Co. Minneapolis, MN
c. Hilda   b. 1-1870 Sweden (Nel's wife)
4. Albert   b. 1873/5 Sweden/Copenhagen (m.1894) Lived on Laurel St. CrowWing CO. Brainerd, MN

Albert's Tree Photos
The following UNIDENTIFIED photos (see pg. 2 & 3!) were donated by ERIN SIM. She found these in her mother's attic. They are from the family of  NELS WESTMARK, a motorman on the Minneapolis Street Cars 31st & Minnehaha St.  He lived in N.E. Minneapolis, MN.  as well as his son MAURITZ WESTMARK. Mauritz worked for the MN State Highway Dept. The package of photos came from "Helen" to Erin's mother. (Many Thanks Erin!)
