The Worst Assault In History

I think that the World Trade Center attack was a cowardly and evil act. Over 3000 people died and many more are still "missing." I can't see why anyone would want to massacre so many innocent people. In an interview, Osama Bin Laden said, "You have felt the horrible pain my country has been feeling for years and years." Well, how is it going to help to kill so many innocent people? I think he is a psycho deranged demented maniac. He has ruined the lives of countless people. This is probably the worst assault ever in American or even world history.
In our school, we wrote letters of comfort to P.S. 172, a school in New York which was destroyed on September 11, 2001 in the attack.
There is no point in getting mad at Afghanistan, because it is just an extremely poor country where women have no rights, child labor is extremely harsh (13-year-old children who just weigh 60 pounds carry 45 pounds of weight to help and support their families), there is about no education, and most of the citizens have a horrible time just living. They say that the government of the Taliban is the worst thing that happened to their lives.
A word (well, actually a paragraph) about the bin Laden family. Osama bin Laden is definitely not an only child. He has 53 (53!?!) siblings, all of whom are good people. I feel sorry for them because they have extremely poor business and are not doing well at all. Many people dropped business with them now that everyone knows they are related to Osama. They have done many good things. They helped pay to rebuild the U.S. embassies in Africa when they were bombed. They have also made donations to many universities in America.
I'm glad that the U.S. is sending relief funds to help the Afghans. Operation: Enduring Freedom is also being sponsored/led by the U.S. They are hoping to wipe out terrorism, although it may take many, many years to totally get rid of terrorism once and for all. I think it's great that the world is finally trying to root out terrorism. I hope that no one forgets this terrible event that has plagued the lives of many.
