NEW YORK, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Qwest Communications International Inc. Q.N and Sprint PCS PCS.N said on Monday they had signed a wholesale agreement that allows Qwest to provide nationwide wireless phone service on
Sprint's network. The agreement allows Qwest, which does not currently have a nationwide network, to offer nationwide service to consumers within its 14-state local telephone operating region and to business customers across the United States.
The companies said they expect most of Qwest's existing and new wireless customers to use the Sprint network by next year.
Qwest plans to offer national plans early next year. |
