Game theroretic analysis of human behavior which describes various strategies people generally follow in their lives. It is very interesting to see that we all are playing games all the time, and infact all human interaction seems to be some kind of a game...this list is not exhaustive of the types of strategies we use.....but is a perspective on the analysis. Ideally, there are a lot of ways that we can enrich the lives of people and make them smart, rich, cooperative, thoughtful, considerate, strong, attractive etc....but in this world, some people are better than the rest, and our animal instincts force us to play games to maximise our own payoffs. Another intersting thing is to compare the Gita's teachings against this. That book precisely gives another way to get out of this game business. But its slightly scary...because people like the happiness-sadness-pleasure-misery-passivity-aggression games, and that keeps the world in the strange state it is in. In general however I find it hard to see all the games that are happenning and maximise my own payoffs...so i instead rely on blind faith, using religious and ethical doctrines to maximise my payoffs in the long run (religions are the conclusions of experiments that people have been carrying out for some centuries now. I still find the Gita's ideas of going beyond all this appealing, although i doubt if it cannot be reduced to a game. If so...we are sadly trapped in games...At least thats what it seems to be ....Cant help it that is so. Also, the analysis is very sketchy and doesnt really go deep enough to be able to classify the average payoffs per strategy in a variety of scenarios. Something leds me to believe that non-violence and giving respect to others and a strategy aiming towards win-win situations will be the winner...this belief comes from life, and is merely a guess....needs to be proved statistically.
Art and Beauty ( An excellent chapter about this...that i found on the net, See how physicists, scientists and artists have defined art and intuitive commonsense over the years).
