Fishy Fact Reports

When our investigation first began, we dove headfirst into as many pictures, books and videos about the ocean as we could.  We quickly found that there was not enough time in the day for us to investigate every type of sea creature as a class.  Using picture cards and information collected by our student teacher, we each completed a fact report, which we then shared with the class. To expand our understanding of the creatures we were reading and writing about, we made paper models of our topics. We decorated two xeroxed pictures of our creature, then stapled them back to back and stuffed them with newspapers.  We attached our fact cards to the stuffed creatures and displayed them for all to see.
