Part 1
"I'd like to welcome the newest member of SG-3, Peter Parker." General Hammond said.
The other members of SG-3 turned and nodded towards the newest recruit. Peter looked back at them nervously and smiled. He frowned as he watched a couple of the men elbow each other and giggle.
"What a geek." He heard the closest one say to his companion.
"Alright, that'll do." Hammond said, glaring at them.
He waited until the two finished their giggling and smiled at Peter.
"Don't feel bad, Parker. Most new recruits get their share of teasing. I'm sure once you get off-world on your first assignment and work with these guys, they'll treat you with more respect."
He stared pointedly at the two men who coughed nervously and looked away.
"Having said that, I now am going to give you an assignment. We recently sent a M.A.L.P. through to a new planet. It's designated PX3-9921. The visuals the M.A.L.P. sent back look encouraging, so we are sending you to do some reconnaissance. I want you to find out if the planet is inhabited, if the Goa'uld have a presence there and also their level of technology. Report back to the SGC when you are through. And, guys don't give the new recruit a hard time. Is that understood?"
As everyone nodded, Hammond smiled.
"Good. You leave immediately. Dismissed."
Everyone rose from the table and proceeded out of the meeting room. As Peter walked past, Hammond stopped him and put his hand on his shoulder.
"Don't let them intimidate you, son." He said. "They're a little hard on new recruits, but they're a nice bunch once you get to know them. You'll fit in just fine."
"Thank you, General." Peter said.
Hammond nodded and let him go. Peter closed the door and headed towards the gate room. Turning a corner, he bumped into Daniel Jackson.
"Oh, I'm terribly sorry." Daniel said.
"No, it's my fault." Peter replied.
Daniel stared at him and smiled. He offered his hand.
"Daniel Jackson."
"Peter Parker." He said, shaking Daniel's hand.
"You're the new guy with SG-3, aren't you?"
Peter nodded.
Daniel smiled.
"Thought so. It's nice to meet you. I hope everyone is treating you well."
"Well, for the most part they are. There's been a few who've picked on me a little" Peter said.
"Because of your glasses, right?" Daniel asked.
"Yeah, a lot of people think I'm a geek." Peter said, embarrassed.
Daniel snorted.
"Believe me, I know how you feel. I get that all the time. One of my teammates on SG-1, Jack O'Neill, treats me like that all the time. But, he's a nice guy and we get along for the most part. I'm sure once everyone gets to know you, they'll let up. But, in the meantime, if you need someone to talk to someone whose been there..." he said, chuckling.
"Thanks, Doctor Jackson..."
"Daniel. You can call me Daniel. Doctor Jackson is so formal. " Daniel said.
"Okay." Peter said, smiling and nodding.
"Well, I better let you go. I know SG-3 is about to go on a mission and they don't like it if you're late." Daniel shook Peter's hand again. "I'll see ya around."
"Yeah, nice to meet you." Peter said, nodding.
He waved to Daniel and hurried off towards the gate room.

"Sir, we have a G.D.O. signal from SG-3"
Hammond turned away from Jack and walked over to the Major who was working the control panel. He frowned at him.
"Already? It's only been an hour." He muttered. "Open the iris, Major." He said to him.
The Major nodded and Hammond and Jack watched as the iris slid open revealing the event horizon. Suddenly, they saw SG-3 leap out of the Stargate, and land on their backs on the ramp.
"Close the iris!" Hammond ordered the Major.
He pushed the microphone button and spoke to the members of SG-3 who were now struggling to their feet.
"What happened? Why are you back so early?" he demanded.
He frowned as he noticed one was missing.
"Where is Parker?" he asked.
Major Potter, who was the leader of SG-3, looked up at Hammond and spoke.
"Goa'uld attack, General. We were ambushed by Apophis and several serpent guards as we were doing our reconnaissance. We managed to get away, but Parker was captured. We tried to rescue him, but we were met with heavy fire and we had to retreat."
Hammond nodded.
"Alright, meet me in the debriefing room. I'll be there in a few moments."
He switched off the microphone and turned to Jack.
"Get your team together, Colonel. I'm sending SG-3 to attempt a rescue mission and SG-1 is going to assist."
"Yes, sir." Jack said.
He paused for a moment.
"Do you think we have a snowball's chance in Hell of saving him, sir?"
Hammond shook his head.
"I don't know, but we're gonna try. We don't leave a man behind, Colonel."
Jack nodded.
"My feelings exactly, sir."
"Hurry and get the others, Colonel and meet me in the debriefing room."
Jack watched as Hammond ran out the door.
"Sweet." He said.
He hurried out the door behind Hammond and went to fetch Sam, Teal'c and Daniel.

Part 2
(3 months later)
SG-1 stepped through the Stargate and stood at the top of a series of stone steps as they looked around at the wooded landscape.
"So, this is PX4-8229" Jack said, dryly. "It's exactly the way I pictured it. Whenever someone mentions the name PX4-8229 to me, it always conjures up images of a tree covered planet."
"But, this is the first time we have ever been here, O'Neill." Teal'c pointed out.
Jack glanced over at Teal'c and sighed.
"I know that, Teal'c. I was just making my usual wisecracks."
"I see." Teal'c said. "I was not aware you were making a....wisecrack. In the future, I will try to determine more carefully if you are making a wisecrack or not before I speak up."
"Thanks Teal'c. That would be just peachy." Jack said.
"I do not understand...peachy."
"It means fine, Teal'c. What you just said would be just fine with me." Jack said, impatiently.
Teal'c nodded as Jack rolled his eyes.
"Anyway, let's get started shall we?" Jack said to the others.
They stepped down off of the stone steps and onto the grassy surface. Jack, Sam, and Daniel grabbed Zat guns off of the F.R.E.D that had come before them while Teal'c gripped his staff weapon. They proceeded cautiously away from the stargate keeping their eyes open for any signs of life. They walked up to the edge of a dense forest and looked at it.
"There had better not be any monster mosquitoes in here, because I didn't bring my Skin So Soft with me." Jack said. "Okay, let's go, campers"
They entered the forest cautiously as they tried not to trip on the undergrowth.
"Awfully quiet in here, sir." Sam said, nervously.
"I concur." Teal'c said. "I do not detect any movement or sounds."
"And the trees are so close together." Daniel commented. "If there was something hiding in here, they could conceal themselves really well if they were planning to ambush us."
Jack let out a mock gasp.
"Goa'uld and Unas and Tok'ra, oh my!" he said, sarcastically.
"Where O'Neill? I do not see..."
"Never mind, Teal'c!" Jack said, sighing.
Teal'c stared at him.
"Oh, I see....it is another....wisecrack."
"Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!" Jack said, rolling his eyes.
"Winner of what?" Teal'c asked.
"Oy!" Jack said to himself. "I love ya, Teal'c, but sometimes..."
They proceeded on in silence until they reached a small clearing in the middle of the woods. All of them looked up at a huge stone temple rising above the trees in the distance. Jack looked at Daniel.
"Any idea?" he said, gesturing to it.
"Not offhand. Maybe if I got a closer look..." Daniel said, squinting.
He began to mutter to himself...
"Maybe Roman...Greek...Minoan."
"Well, while you are figuring it out, let's go and see if the natives are friendly or not." Jack said.
They resumed walking towards the structures as Daniel continued to talk to himself. Suddenly, they heard a noise and all of them dived behind some nearby rocks as they saw a group of people in togas marching along followed by a contingent of serpent guards leveling staff weapons at their backs.
Jack sighed.
"Great, snakeheads, my favorite." He muttered.
He stared at the group of people and looked at Teal'c.
"Harvesting?" he asked.
Teal'c nodded.
"I believe so, O'Neill. It appears that this is one of the planets the Goa'uld get their hosts from."
"Well, I think those snakeheads have enough hosts as it is, they don't need any more. So, why don't we do what we do best and interfere?" Jack said.
Everyone nodded. They readied their weapons and prepared to attack. Suddenly, they saw the serpent guards give out a yell and began to fire their staff weapons back into the woods behind them as the group of people began to scream and run for their lives. One of the serpent guards noticed them.
"Don't let them get away!" he yelled at the guards nearest the group.
The guards nodded and began to run around the panicking group as they tried to cut off their escape. SG-1 looked at each other and prepared to run after the guards when all of a sudden a blast from a staff weapon shot out from the trees and hit one of the guards in the back, killing him instantly.
"What the Hell?" Jack said, as SG-1 stopped and stared at the dead guard in shock.
They looked back towards the guards defending their position and their eyes widened as they saw another guard get hit with a staff weapon blast.
"Okay, so we're looking at Jaffa or Tok'ra maybe?" Jack said, shrugging.
"Hey over there!" one of the guards yelled as he noticed SG-1 for the first time.
Two of the guards turned and leveled their weapons at them. SG-1 all dove as a blast shot out and went right over their heads, missing them by inches. Sam raised her Zat gun and quickly fired two shots at the nearest guard, killing him.
"Nice shot, Carter." Jack said.
He raised his Zat gun and shot twice at the second guard, killing him too.
"Okay, I think it's safe to say our cover's blown now." He said to the others. "Let's go over there and finish the rest off."
They started to run across the clearing towards the last two serpent guards when suddenly, they saw an armored covered figure swing out of the trees and land behind the guards. They stared in shock as the figure quickly raised his wrist and shot a white gooey substance towards one guard, sticking his hands together. As the guards stood and stared at the white substance, he took a staff weapon from a holder on his back and shot at the guard and his companion in quick succession killing them both.
Jack looked at the others.
"Oooookay." He said.
They stared at the spider web design of the armor and the spider engraved on the front. Jack looked at Teal'c.
"Seen this kind of Jaffa before?" he asked him.
"I have not." Teal'c said, shaking his head. "If he is Jaffa, he is serving a system lord I am not familiar with."
"Well, he seems to hate snakeheads, so that's encouraging." Jack said.
"Do you think we should go talk to him, sir?" Sam said, glancing over at Jack.
Jack paused for a moment and watched as the armored figure walked over to the group huddled near the trees and began to talk to them. He looked over at the others as the group rose and started to gather around him.
"Well, judging from his behavior, he seems to like humans. So, what the Hell, why not?" Jack said, shrugging.
They readied their weapons as they approached the figure. As they got closer, some of the humans began to point and yell at them. The figure stepped in front of them and made hand motions, as he calmed them down. As SG-1 approached, he stepped out and away from the humans as they stood in a group behind him and talked nervously amongst themselves.
Once they got a few feet in front of each other, they stopped and Jack waved.
"Hello there, we're from Earth. The Tau'ri. We come in peace." He said.
The figure looked directly at Daniel.
"Hey, Daniel. What's up?" he said.
Sam, Jack and Teal'c's eyes bugged out and they stared at Daniel who was staring back at the figure with his mouth open.
"Friend of yours?" Jack said, dryly.
"Um...no. I've never seen this...guy before in my life." Daniel said, confused.
"Sure you have." The figure said.
The helmet part of the armor suddenly split down the middle and opened up to reveal the grinning face of Peter Parker.
"Okay, this is now officially off the weird scale." Jack said, as everyone stared at him in shock.

Part 3
Jack stared at Peter.
"Where in the Hell have you been?" he said, angrily.
"I've been...here." He said.
"Uh-huh, and while you were...here, did you ever stop and think for one moment that we might have been searching for you?" Jack said, sarcastically.
"You have?" Peter said, surprised.
"Yes, we have. We've spent the last three months combing PX3-9921, and a couple of other worlds the Goa'uld have been known to hang out on, searching for you. Now, why didn't you come back to SGC...and what the Hell is with this weird armor?"
"And where are your glasses?" Daniel chimed in. "The last time I saw them, the lenses looked so thick, I figured you must be blind without them."
Peter held up his hands.
"Just let me explain, okay? I have a good reason for not coming back to the SGC and why I'm wearing this armor and why I can see without my glasses." He said. "Just hang on a moment and I'll tell you."
He walked over to the group of people and began to talk to them softly. The members of the group nodded and walked back through the woods towards the direction of the temple, except for one beautiful red haired woman in a purple toga who followed Peter as he walked back to SG-1.
"Who's this?" Jack asked, pointing at her.
"Oh, this is M'Jae. She's a native of this planet...and my girlfriend." He said, smiling at her.
"Oh I see, so you didn't come back to the SGC because you were too busy picking up alien chicks." Jack said.
"No, that's not the reason. The main reason I didn't come back was because I was a prisoner of Apophis for awhile."
"You were?" Sam asked. "Where? Somewhere on PX3-9921?"
Peter shook his head.
"No, I was on a Goa'uld mothership. Apophis had me taken there after I was captured." He said." And for about a month, I was tortured."
"Tortured?" Daniel said. "Why?"
"Apophis is angry at you for stealing Amonet's child away from him, so in retaliation, he tortured me."
"Oh God." Sam said, sickened. "I'm so sorry he did that to you, Peter."
Peter smiled.
"It's okay. I'm here now." He said.
"What...uh...what did he do to you?" Daniel asked.
Peter sighed.
"Well, first he had a couple of Jaffa's strap me to a table. Then he had one of them fire one blast of a Zat gun at me, then, wait until I recover from the pain and then do it again, wait till I recover and so on and so on. He also used that ribbon device thing on my head and basically scrambled my brains a little bit. That was what the main part of the torture was. Of course, while he and Jaffa's were doing this, I had to listen to how much he hated the SGC and how he was going to get his child back and get his revenge and blah, blah, blah..."
Jack rolled his eyes.
"Yup, if there's one thing Apophis is known for it's his hospitality." He said. "So, basically, you spent a lot of time on the Goa'uld mothership being in pain and listening to Apophis flap his jaws about how much he despises us."
"Yup, that's mainly what happened to me." Peter said
"But your glasses...if you were in that much pain, did he put you in the sarcophagus repeatedly. I...did that when I was on P3R-636. I saved a woman from going over a cliff and she fell in love with me and convinced me to the use the sarcophagus while these guys were forced to work in the Naquadah mines."
"And what a lovely experience it was too." Jack said, rolling his eyes. "Being whipped and beaten constantly while Danny-boy got to eat lavish meals and bang some alien princess."
"I didn't bang her." Daniel said, glaring at him.
"Oh, excuse me...Daniel didn't bang her, he just became her helpless love slave." Jack said, hooking his thumb at him.
Daniel sighed and turned back to Peter.
"Anyway, the point is, the sarcophagus gave me perfect eyesight, but it also started to take away my soul and turn me evil. I...hope that's not what happened to you." He said.
Peter shook his head.
"No, they never did that to me. They gave me time to recover from the Zat blasts and the ribbon device, so there was really no need for them to revive me with the sarcophagus." He said. "
"So, then, why are you able to see without your glasses?" Sam asked.
Peter cleared his throat.
"Well," he continued. "After all of that torture, eventually I did end up near death and I guess after Apophis had had his fill of me, he finally decided to end my life by putting a Rak on me."
"Come again?" Jack said, confused.
He glanced at Teal'c
"A Rak is a type of insect similar to your earth spiders." Teal'c said.
Peter nodded.
"He put that on me and let the Rak bite me. I guess the venom causes a slow painful death."
Teal'c nodded.
"That is correct, Peter Parker. I have seen the damage a Rak can do to a Jaffa. I've lost men to its bite and have witnessed the brutal agony that comes before they are finally released from this life."
"Okay," Daniel said. "So how come it didn't kill you?"
Peter shrugged.
"I'm not sure. I guess it affects humans differently than Jaffa. All I know is the spider transferred some of its abilities to me instead of killing me."
Jack's eyes widened and he looked at the others.
"So, that would explain the white gunk that came out of your wrists earlier."
Peter nodded.
"Yes. I can make my own spider webbing now and I can shoot it the way that a spider shoots webbing from its spinneret's."
"Uh-huh." Jack said. "Okay, this is getting weirder and weirder by the moment. So, what you are telling us, essentially, is you are not half-spider."
Peter nodded.
"Yes, but there's more than that."
Jack's eyes widened.
"More? Jesus Christ, Parker, how much more is there? You were tortured, you became a spider hybrid, what else is there?"
"Well, after I was bitten, they took me to a holding cell to die. I guess even the Jaffa are unnerved by the sight of someone dying from the venom. They put me in the cell and that's where I met M'Jae for the first time. She had been captured by the Jaffa along with a bunch of her people and they had all undergone implantation, except for her, she was the last one. Besides her, though, there was a Tok'ra spy named Fallesh who had been on the mothership for many years and had finally been discovered. He was going to be executed and when he saw me and saw how bad I was, he asked me if I would take his symbiote, Shoshra, and be blended with him so that it would save my life and Shoshra would be able to live on. I agreed and just before they came and got him, Fallesh gave me his symbiote."
"Oh my God, are you telling us you are Tok'ra now too?" Jack said, incredulously.
Peter nodded.
"A human/Tok'ra/spider man. There's something for Ripley's believe it or not." Jack muttered.
He looked at Sam.
"You know, I was just sitting around the SGC the other day talking to myself about how Jollinar wasn't enough for me, I needed to have more people with symbiotes around the base to keep things interesting."
Peter looked at Sam.
"Jollinar of Malkshur?" he asked her.
Sam nodded.
They watched as Peter lowered his head and brought it back up.
"I am Shoshra." He said in a deep voice. "I am the symbiote Peter has blended with."
Sam smiled at him.
"Nice to meet you." She said.
"You speak of Jollinar of Malkshur. Are you her host?" Shoshra asked.
"I was. But she's dead now. She was killed by an ashrak assassin after she went into me involuntarily."
"Involuntarily?" Shoshra said, frowning.
"Yes, well...Jollinar had no choice. She did it with the understanding it would be temporary." Sam explained.
"I see." Shoshra said. "Well, it is always sad to lose one of our own. There are not many of us to begin with and we always take the loss of a Tok'ra hard. I suspect Martouf was upset as well. I know how close they were."
Sam nodded.
"He was. He told me when we went to the Tok'ra home world just how much Jollinar had meant to him and how long they had been lovers."
She frowned
"I don't recall you, though. I recognized Martouf because of Jollinar, but I don't recognize your name."
Shoshra laughed.
"That's not surprising. I was on that Goa'uld mothership for many years and Jollinar and I were merely acquaintances. She probably didn't remember that much of me."
"So you helped Peter escape?" Daniel said.
Shoshra looked at him and nodded.
"Yes, because I shared my vast knowledge with Peter, I was able to pass on the location of everything on the mothership. Peter simply utilized this information and he and M'Jae were able to make it to the hangar bay, and take one of the death gliders and escape. Once we were away from the mothership, M'Jae directed Peter and I back to her home world since the mothership wasn't too far from it. I was also able to help Peter modify the armor that he had taken from one of the guards and put on when he had knocked him out on the way to the hangar bay. Peter chose the spider design because he had gained his extra abilities from the Rak and also because he wanted the people of this planet to be able to distinguish him from the serpent guards who come here for the harvesting. And, that's where we've been since then, protecting the people of this planet from the Goa'uld."
"Wow, what a fascinating story." Jack said. "Um, no offense Shoshra, but do you mind if we talk to Peter for a moment?"
"Of course." Shoshra said.
He bowed his head and brought it back up.
"Yeah?" Peter said.
"So," Jack said. "I assume now that we've found you...both of you. You are going to be coming back with us to SGC."
"No."
Jack blinked.
"Exsqueeze me? No? Did I just hear you say No?"
"That's right. No, I am not coming back with you."
"And why not?" Jack said, impatiently.
"Because I'm needed here."
"Uh-huh, well, you're also needed back at the SGC, Tok'ra boy. Unless you want a court martial."
"Let them court martial me. I don't care." Peter said, folding his arms over his chest. "I'm not going back to face the court martial if they do decide to do that. I'm staying here and protecting these people from the Goa'uld, so what happened to me will not happen to them."
Jack sighed.
"Maybe you didn't hear me right...."
Suddenly, Peter's eyes flashed a bright white light...
"NO! YOU DIDN'T HEAR US!" Shoshra yelled. "PETER AND I HAVE MADE UP OUR MINDS! WE ARE STAYING!"
Jack help up his hands as Shoshra glared at him.
"Alright, geez! Don't get your worm panties in a bunch."
Shoshra bowed his head.
"Sorry about that." Peter said. "But, Shoshra wanted to let you know his feelings too. It's not just me that wants this. He wants it as well."
Jack sighed.
"Well, I guess I could try to talk to Hammond and make him understand. It's not like you aren't just goofing off on this world, anyway." He said.
Peter nodded.
"Thank you...from both of us." He said.
"We'll have to find a way to contact the Tok'ra too." Daniel pointed out. "I'm sure they'll want to know where Shoshra is at."
"If we can, I mean, "Don't call us, we'll call you", remember." Jack said, sighing.
"Well, sir, surely my dad will come and visit me soon." Sam said. "We'll just wait till he shows up and then give him the information."
Peter bowed his head.
"If you do, make sure that the other Tok'ra know that Peter and I wish to remain here." Shoshra said. "We, in our own way, are carrying on the fight against the Goa'uld. We do not feel it necessary to rejoin the others."
"Will you not put the other Tok'ra at risk if you are captured?" Teal'c asked.
Shoshra shook his head.
"I will die first before divulging any information about the Tok'ra."
He bowed his head.
"And that is another reason I have modified the armor. So, if I am captured, they can't connect me back to them." Peter said.
"Sweet." Jack said. "I'm guessing too that the reason you want to stay is because of M'Jae here."
Peter smiled at M'Jae and kissed her cheek.
"Yup, she and I have fallen in love." He said. "I know she can't live among the Tok'ra unless she is blended and she has already told me she doesn't want that, so that was another reason why I wanted to remain here."
"Yes, I'm thankful that Fallesh saved Peter's life. But I myself wish to remain one person." M'Jae said.
Sam nodded.
"I know how you feel. It was weird having Jollinar inside my head and being able to access her memories and even though she's gone, I can still get information from her. The whole thing is bizarre to say the least."
"Yes, it is." Peter agreed. "But without Shoshra, I probably would never have been able to recover from the damage inflicted on me, so if I must share my body with him, it is a worthy arrangement, I think." He looked up at the sky. "The suns are setting, would you like to come back to our hut. M'Jae was going to start supper."
SG-1 looked at each other.
"Is it any good?" Jack asked, hesitantly.
Peter nodded.
"Oh yeah, M'Jae is one Hell of a cook." He hooked his thumb back at the trees. "Probably beats the rations you have on you F.R.E.D."
Daniel snorted.
"I think a pile of mud would be better than those rations any day." He said, sarcastically.
"Hey now, that's the US government you're talking about there, Daniel. You know that the government only hires the best gourmet chefs to cook us our meals."
Daniel rolled his eyes.
"If what we have is the best, I hate to see the worst." He muttered.
Jack laughed.
"Well, everyone, supper sounds good to me. So, why don't we follow Peter and Shoshra and M'Jae here and strap on the feedbag."
"I do not understand feedbag O'Neill, is this another weird earth custom?"
"No Teal'c, it's another weird earth wisecrack." Jack said, glancing at him.
Teal'c sighed.
"I wish that you would inform me when you are using these wisecracks, O'Neill."
Jack rolled his eyes.
"Sure, Teal'c. I'll have the scientists at SGC install a button on my forehead that shines red when a wisecrack comes up."
Teal'c raised his eyebrow and Jack sighed.
"No Teal'c, they can't do that yet."
Teal'c nodded and Jack sighed deeply. He called out to M'Jae as they began to head through the woods.
"Do they have any stiff drinks on this planet too?"

Part 4
"Mmmmmm, you were right, Peter. M'Jae is one Hell of a cook." Jack said as they sat around M'Jae's hut eating.
"Told ya so." Peter said, grinning at M'Jae as she blushed.
"So what exactly is in this?" Daniel asked as he looked into his wooden bowl. "It appears to be some kind of stew."
M'Jae nodded.
"It is. It's Froshur berries and Samac meat."
"Translation?" Jack asked glancing at Teal'c as he shoved a spoonful of stew into his mouth.
Teal'c thought for a moment.
"Froshur berries are similar to what you would call cherries on Earth and Samac is similar to your earth rats."
Jack stopped in mid chew and looked at Teal'c. He swallowed hard and stared at him.
"So, what you're saying is, we're eating what amounts to cherry and rat stew." He said, making a face
"That is correct, O'Neill."
Jack sat his bowl down and pushed it away from him. Daniel stared at him as he swallowed a mouthful of stew.
"Don't tell me you aren't gonna eat it now that you know what it is." He whispered to him. "You just got done telling everyone how good you thought it was."
"Yeah, Daniel, well that's before I found out a rodent was one of the ingredients." Jack whispered back.
Daniel rolled his eyes and spooned another mouthful into his mouth. Jack watched him eat with a look of disgust, suddenly he cleared his throat.
"You know, maybe I should go and report back to Hammond and tell him you've been found." He said, nodding to Peter. "While all of you...eat the lovely meal."
"You are not hungry, Jack?" M'Jae said as she looked up from her bowl. "You did not eat very much."
"No, no, I'm okay. I'm...on a diet." He said. "A no-rat diet." He muttered under his breath.
He nodded at everyone.
"I'll be back in a bit. Enjoy your...meal." He said, hurrying out the door of the hut.
As Peter and M'Jae stared at each other in confusion, Sam leaned in and whispered to Daniel.
"I take it when he heard the word "rat" the food suddenly didn't agree with him." She said, chuckling.
Daniel nodded and smiled.
"Yep, that's the main reason he gave up on the food." He replied.
As they continued eating, Teal'c suddenly cleared his throat.
"I believe one of our mission objectives here is to try to establish an alliance with these people. I was just wondering if you would be able to take us to the people who are in charge, Peter Parker?"
Peter swallowed a mouthful of stew and nodded.
"Oh sure, I can do that. The Senate is in the main part of the city in that huge temple. I can take you after we eat if you'd like."
Teal'c nodded.
"That would be satisfactory." He said. "Hopefully, O'Neill will have returned by then."
"Yeah, if he isn't puking his guts out." Sam whispered, as she nudged Daniel in the ribs.
Daniel snickered as Teal'c looked at them confused. Daniel noticed him and sobered up.
"It's okay, Teal'c. Sam was just joking with me."
"I see." Teal'c said, nodding.
Daniel stared at Peter for a moment as he ate and then cleared his throat.
"I've been wanting to ask you, Peter. When you were a prisoner of Apophis, did you happen to see or hear about my wife, Sha're?"
Peter swallowed his stew and frowned.
"Sha're?"
Daniel sighed.
"She's the host of Amonet." He said, sadly.
Peter's eyes widened.
"That's your wife?"
Daniel nodded, as he fought back tears.
"I'm sorry to hear that." Peter said, sympathetically.
Daniel nodded again and smiled at Peter as he thought for a moment.
"The only time I heard of your wife being spoken about was when Apophis was telling me how he was going to get back his child. Um...I'm not sure what she looks like, but I never saw any female Goa'uld while I was up there. I'm sorry I can't give you any more than that."
"No, that's okay. I appreciate you telling me what you know." Daniel said, getting misty eyed
Sam noticed him and rubbed his back.
"Hey, we'll find a way to get her back, Daniel. You have to believe that."
"I know." Daniel said. "I have to keep telling myself that every day. That we will get her back."
"We will. Hey, look at what happened when we were in the pyramid on Abydos. Sha're looked right at us and never told our location, so there has to be humanity left in her."
Peter bowed his head.
"If your wife can do that...."Shoshra said. "She must have a strong will especially since she is possessed with a powerful Goa'uld like Amonet. If she has that much strength to fight Amonet's influence, then perhaps there is a chance." He said.
Daniel nodded.
"That is what I think too." He said.
Peter bowed his head.
"Also, judging by the way you're behaving. It sounds as if you care for her very much." Peter said.
"I do." Daniel said. "I love her more than anything."
"And does she feel the same way?" Peter asked.
Daniel nodded.
"Then, maybe it is also the power of your love that allows her to fight Amonet." He said, smiling at him.
"I concur, Daniel Jackson." Teal'c said. "Love is a very powerful force even among the Jaffa. I know that I would give my life up for my son Ry'ac because of the love I feel for him. I know that you would do no less for Sha're."
Daniel nodded.
"Yes. I think you are both right." He said. "Love is one of the most powerful things in the universe and I think it is one of the main things that set us apart from the Goa'uld. And it is why Apophis will not succeed in keeping Sha're as his queen."
Sam smiled as she saw a new look of determination in Daniel's eyes. She glanced over at Teal'c and saw that Teal'c had seen it too and was smiling at Daniel in admiration.
"That is why I admire the Tau'ri. You are a powerful people and a force to be reckoned with." Teal'c said. "That is why I am proud to be your ally."
They all looked up as Jack entered the hut and glanced at them.
"Supper over?" he asked, hopefully.
"Yes, O'Neill. I believe we are finished." Teal'c said
"Oh good!" Jack said, a little too forcefully. "I mean, it was a great meal, but I needed to tell Peter something and I didn't want the chewing sounds to interfere with what I had to say." He said, sheepishly.
Daniel rolled his eyes as Sam giggled. Jack sat down beside Teal'c and gave them a dirty look.
"What did you want to tell me?" Peter asked.
"Oh, well...I just got back from reporting to Hammond and well, at first, he wasn't too pleased you had decided to settle down here without telling anyone. But, after I explained what had happened. He finally caved in and agreed you could stay here." Jack said.
"Good because I wasn't going back anyway." Peter said.
"Well...actually, he does want you to come back and debrief him on what you saw on the mothership, but you aren't going to be court-martialed and you can come back here." Jack said.
"Okay, I'll gladly do that." Peter said.
"O'Neill, Peter Parker has agreed to let us see the Senate here so that we may form an alliance." Teal'c said.
Jack nodded and smiled at Peter.
"Great! When do we go?"
"We can go now if you like. It's not too late in the day so I think they'll still be in there."
Jack slapped his hands together.
"Sounds good to me. Let's do it."
"I'll stay here and get everything cleaned up while you are gone. I do not think the Senate would welcome me anyway." M'Jae said.
Peter thought for a moment.
"I guess that's true. They would see me because of all I've done to protect the people here, but that would be the only reason why they would let me in. the Senate are a pretty exclusive body of men." He said.
He leaned down to kiss her.
"I shouldn't be long anyway. The Senate probably wouldn't have a problem with forming an alliance with the Tau'ri since they are against the Goa'uld."
M'Jae kissed him back.
"Just be careful if it gets dark. You know how bad the woods can get."
"Not to worry, hon. I have my spider sense now."
Jack blinked.
"Spider sense?" he said, raising his eyebrow.
Peter laughed.
"Yeah, that's my little nickname for it. After the Rak bit me, I began to sense when danger would threaten me and I can also use it to navigate in darkness. It's kinda a buzzing in my head."
"Sweet." Jack said. "What else can you do?"
"Oh...besides my web shooters, I have enhanced strength, speed, and agility, I can jump long distances and I can climb up walls by just using my hands and feet."
"Wow!" Jack said. "Maybe I should get bitten by one of these Raks. I would just love to climb up the wall in the gateroom when General Hammond is in the control booth and look through the window and scare the shit outta him."
He glanced over at Teal'c as Teal'c raised his eyebrow
"Wisecrack alert!" he said.
Teal'c nodded.
"Actually, all wisecracks aside, it would be useful to have someone like that going on missions with us every once in awhile." Daniel said. "Particularly, if we are going to a known Goa'uld hotspot."
Jack nodded.
"What do you say, Peter? Would you be willing to aid SG-1 from time to time when we need you?"
Peter nodded.
"I would be glad to offer my assistance when I can. Anything to defeat the Goa'uld."
"Good man." Jack said, nodding.
He looked out the door of the hut.
"Well, daylights burning, kiddies. We better get going."
He looked over at Daniel and Sam.
"Why don't you guys stay and keep M'Jae company? We don't all need to go." He said.
Daniel and Sam looked at each other and nodded.
"Okay, then. Let's roll." Jack said.
*-----------------------------*-----------------------------*-----------------------------*
Part 5
Peter led the way as Jack and Teal'c followed him to the temple. As they got past the trees and into the village, they could see little stone houses lined up neatly in rows on either side of the street.
"Good thing I told Daniel to stay put." Jack said to himself. "We'd have to drag him away by his hair if he saw all of this." He called out to Peter. "So how come you don't live in one of these Flintstone type houses?"
Peter looked around at him.
"I decided to live in the woods because the Goa'uld usually take that route to get to the village. That way, I have advanced warning when they do come." He said.
"Well, what about earlier? Why didn't you stop them before they took all those people?" Jack asked.
"Because M'Jae and I were here at the time. M'Jae was at market and the Senate had summoned me to commend me on protecting the citizens."
"Boy, you must have had egg on your face when you came out of the Senate and saw a herd of snakeheads capturing the citizens you were supposedly protecting." Jack said, grinning.
"Yeah, that was pretty embarrassing." Peter admitted. "But I managed to defeat them anyway."
"Well, how come you didn't turn on your spider sense deeleybopper and detect them?"
"I did. That's why I came out of the Senate. But, by the time they had gotten within range to where I could detect them, they'd already rounded up a bunch of people." Peter said.
"Oh I see, so it's short range spider sense." Jack said, glancing at Teal'c
"Well, if I'm not using it voluntarily, it won't go off unless there is danger around." Peter admitted. "Goa'uld walking through town doesn't do it. Goa'uld seizing a bunch of people and leveling staff weapons at their backs is what triggered it."
"I see." Jack said. "You ever encounter anyone who could do this, Teal'c?" he said gesturing to Peter.
"I have not." Teal'c said. "Not even a system lord possesses such abilities as a....spider sense. I believe they would do anything to obtain the knowledge of how such things are achieved though by any means necessary."
"Which means, Peter, I think you better watch that your little spider butt doesn't get captured again." Jack said to him.
"Don't worry, I've already thought of that and I take every precaution." Peter said.
They reached the steps of the temple and Peter motioned for them to wait.
"I'll go and tell the Senate you're here and then come back for you." He said.
Teal'c and Jack nodded. Peter walked up the steps and entered through a small door. Jack shifted his feet nervously as he noticed a few of the citizens stopping and looking at him and Teal'c curiously. His eyes widened as he saw a few of them begin to point at Teal'c and yell out..."Jaffa!" Jack looked at Teal'c and headed down the steps to the frightened people.
"Don't worry. He's with me. He's a good Jaffa. He won't hurt you."
A man approached him and snorted.
"There is no such thing as a good Jaffa." He said, glaring at Teal'c
Jack sighed.
"Well, then, let me introduce you to the first good Jaffa you have ever seen in your life." He said, sarcastically. "His name is Teal'c and he fights the Goa'uld like me and like Peter."
The man frowned in confusion.
"Peter, you know, the Tok'ra dude who defends you guys."
The man's eyes lit up.
"Oh! You are friends of his?" he said.
"Yeah, me and Teal'c are good close buddies of Peter." He said, hooking his thumb back at Teal'c
"Ah, then you are certainly welcomed here if you are friends of...Peter." The man said. He thought for a moment "Peter? That is his name?"
"Yeah, that's his host name. His symbiotes name is Shoshra." Jack replied.
He raised his eyebrow at him.
"You didn't know his name?"
"No, we only knew him as our protector." The man said. "We've always been so in awe of him, we've never approached him to ask. Thank you for telling us........"
"Jack. I'm Jack."
"Jack. Well, thank you for informing us of his name, Jack and we will not trouble you or Teal'c anymore."
"Sweet." Jack said.
He watched as the man and the other people went on with their business and walked back up to Teal'c.
"I wish there was a way we could let everyone know you are not serving Apophis anymore, I really get tired of explaining over and over to people how you are not going to be barbecuing them with your staff weapon."
"I do not barbecue a person when I shoot them with a staff weapon, O'Neill. I merely kill them." Teal'c said.
Jack held up his hands
"Whatever, Teal'c, whatever." He said, annoyed.
He and Teal'c turned as they saw Peter emerge from the door and gesture to them.
"You're allowed to go in." he said to them.
Jack nodded and he and Teal'c went up the rest of the stairs and followed Peter through the door. Jack blinked as his eyes adjusted to the semi darkness inside and he followed Peter as he led them down a torch lit corridor to another, bigger, door. Peter motioned for them to come inside, and Jack followed him through. He whistled as he saw a huge circular room and two rows of stone benches in a semi-circle around it. Sitting on the benches were a number of middle aged and elderly men clad in dark purple togas. They nodded to Peter as he led Jack and Teal'c into the center of the room.
"Greetings, Peter Parker, our protector." An elderly man in front said.
As Peter nodded, he stared at Jack and Teal'c
"Are these the men who wish to form an alliance with us?" he said, pointing to them.
"Yes, they are, High Counselor." Peter said, nodding to them. "They are Tau'ri as I am."
"That one isn't" another Senate member said, pointing to Teal'c. "He is Jaffa."
Jack rolled his eyes.
"Here we go again." He muttered.
He stepped forward and addressed the Senate member.
"This Jaffa fights with the Tau'ri." He said. "He is fighting against the Goa'uld."
He paused for a moment as the surprised members began to whisper among themselves.
"It is amazing that a Jaffa has turned against the system lords." The High Counselor said, once the murmurings had died down.
Teal'c stepped forward.
"I assure you that I am not the only one. There are other Jaffa who are also opposing the system lords." He said.
As more murmurings arose, the High Counselor raised his eyebrows.
"Then if that is true, it must be a sign that their power is weakening." He said.
"Indeed." Teal replied. "I and other Jaffa are beginning to see that the system lords are not gods, merely Goa'uld who are only pretending to be gods in order to gain the enslavement of races for their own benefit. There are only a handful of us at the moment, but it is growing more and more every day as we who are against the Goa'uld convince others that they are false gods."
"Which is why we would like to form an alliance with you." Jack said, chiming in. "We believe that an alliance would be an advantage to us both. With your help and with other planet's help, we might be able to destroy the Goa'uld once and for all."
The High Counselor stared at him.
"But, we have heard the the Tau'ri are an technologically inferior race. You and your people are not as advanced as the Goa'uld."
"We're aware of that, but that didn't stop us from blowing two of Apophis's motherships to bits." Jack said.
The High Counselor's eyes bugged out as the murmurings began again.
"You....The Tau'ri destroyed two Goa'uld motherships?" he said, incredulously.
"Yup, we blew those snakeheads out of the sky when they tried to attack our planet. So you see, we aren't as wimpy as you think." Jack said, smiling at him.
"If that is true, then perhaps there is a chance we might be able to defeat the system lords." The High Counselor said, scratching his chin thoughtfully. "We, unfortunately, do not have anything that could help you. We do not possess much technology. We are a simple people."
"But, you do have one advantage over the Goa'uld. You have Peter here and his abilities. Peter can do things a Goa'uld could only dream of, and he's already agreed to help us when his schedule allows it." Jack said, gesturing to Peter.
"We could also use your support." Teal'c added. "Such as using this planet to relocate refugees from war torn worlds or using it as a base of operations for the SGC if the need should ever arise."
"Plus, it would be nice to just know that you support us in our fight against the Goa'uld." Jack added.
"We do support the Tau'ri's fight, but what are the advantages for us? Especially, if the refugees are brought here. What if the Goa'uld become more aggressive and attack us for harboring them?" the High Counselor said.
"Well, see, that's where we come in. We can assist you militarily and we can also assist Peter when the snakeheads come to harvest your people. So, in essence, you would be getting more protection for your planet." Jack said.
The High Counselor nodded. They watched as he turned his head and began to confer softly with the other members. After a moment, the High Counselor looked at them and nodded.
"We have decided to accept your alliance. We feel it is advantageous to both our worlds."
Jack smiled and nodded.
"Thank you. You won't be disappointed."
"No, I don't think we will if you were able to destroy two of the Goa'uld motherships." The High Counselor smiled at them. "For the first time, it seems as though we have a chance to finally rid ourselves of the Goa'uld once and for all"
Jack nodded.
"We sure hope so." He said. "We're trying our best. And we have lots of powerful allies like the Tok'ra and the Jaffa resistance and the Asgard."
The Senate stared at him in shock.
"The Asgard too?" the High Counselor said. "I agree then, the Tau'ri has very powerful allies indeed. I look forward to the day when we can celebrate the victory over the Goa'uld."
Jack nodded.
"Same here."
He slapped his hands together.
"Well, I think that's it, then." He said. "We won't trouble you anymore."
The High Counselor nodded.
"Very well, go in peace and continue your valliant struggle against the Goa'uld." He said.
"Thank you......and may the force be with you." Jack said, shrugging as Peter eyed him.
He waved his hand as the Senate stared at him in confusion.
"Never mind. Long explanation." He said.
The Senate nodded and bowed their heads. Jack and Teal'c watched as Peter bowed his head in return and imitated him. They turned and left and followed Peter back down the corridor. Jack gestured back to the doorway.
"Well, that went smoothly." He said. "And we can count another planet in on our side."
"Indeed." Teal'c said. "It is nice to know that there are so many planets who wish to align with the Tau'ri."
"Well, no offense Teal'c, but I think everyone is a little tired of Jaffa enslaving and torturing and killing their populations." Jack said.
"No offense is taken, O'Neill. I too have grown tired of seeing it happen on Chulak and the other worlds we have visited ."
"You know, Teal'c, it's nice to know we have so much in common." Jack said, smiling. "Except for the fact I don't have a golden tattoo on my head and junior in my gut.......and I know when others are kidding.........most of the time." He admitted.
They reached the door of the temple and all of them blinked as the suns rays hit their eyes.
"Argh, that's twice as bad when you have two suns shining in your eyes." Jack said, grimacing.
He stopped and stared along with Peter and Teal'c as their eyesight returned to normal and they could see above the treeline.
"Oh shit" Jack said, as he spied the Goa'uld mothership hovering in the air.

Part 6
"Dammit! This is just wonderful." Jack said, rolling his eyes as they ran through the forest.
He readied his zat gun as Peter and Teal'c readied their staff weapons. They reached Peter and M'Jae's hut and stopped short as they saw a firefight had taken place. All of them looked at each other and then they rushed into the hut.
"Oh, God." Peter said, as he noticed it was empty.
He stared at the overturned kettle and sighed deeply.
"They got M'Jae again."
"Sam"
Peter and Teal'c looked over at Jack and frowned as they noticed Jack had whispered Carter's first name. Teal'c put his hand on O'Neill's shoulder.
"Are you alright, O'Neill?"
Jack snapped out of his reverie and looked at Teal'c.
"Yeah, fine, I'm........fine." he said.
He quickly composed himself. Suddenly, he jumped as he heard a deep voice calling to him.
"So, you have returned at last."
Jack looked over and noticed a small golden ball in the corner of the hut. He picked it up and stuck his tongue out as he saw Apophis's face.
"Oh, gee, just who I wanted to see at this moment; chrome dome." He muttered.
Apophis glared at him as the others came in beside him.
"O'Neill, Sholva, and the one who is harboring the Tok'ra spy." He said. "I have left you this communicator so I could tell you personally that I am holding your companions captive aboard my ship."
"Yeah, we guessed that already." Jack said.
"I am thinking of torturing and killing them all slowly, but I will make a bargain. I want all of you more than them and I'm willing to let them go if you agree to surrender and come aboard my ship. All you need do is walk into the Chappa'ai after you have left behind your weapons, and you will be transported aboard the ship. Unless of course, you wish to save your pathetic lives and let them die."
The three of them looked at each other.
"No, we aren't chicken shit, unlike some people. We agree to your demands. Our lives in exchange for theirs." Jack said.
Apophis smiled.
"Agreed. Walk towards the Chappa'ai now, I have a contingent of Jaffa waiting to escort you."
He chuckled to himself and then the image was gone.
"O'Neill, do you think we can trust Apophis to keep his word?" Teal'c said, glancing at him.
Jack sighed.
"No, but we don't have any other choice. Getting on that ship might be our best chance of saving Carter, Daniel and M'Jae." He said. "Besides, we still have Peter's abilities. Apophis doesn't know about that and that may all we need to escape........I hope."
Reluctantly, each one set aside all their weapons and started out towards the stargate.

Daniel sighed as they sat in their cell. He looked over at Sam and M'Jae who were sitting beside them.
"I wonder how long we've been here?" he wondered aloud.
Sam shook his head.
"Who knows. After I got hit with the zat gun, I lost consciousness." Sam said, sighing.
"Yeah, me too." Daniel said. "Dammit, I should have been outside keeping watch. That was stupid of me to let those Jaffa sneak up on us like that."
Sam put her hand on his shoulder.
"It's not your fault Daniel, I should have done the same thing. But, I figured we were all safe like you did."
Daniel nodded.
"I should listen to Jack more often when he tells me not to let my guard down." He said.
He looked over towards the cage doors. Suddenly, his eyes widened when a woman dressed in royal attire stepped into view and stared at him.
"Oh my God, Sha're." Daniel said.
He leapt to his feet and ran to the bars. He put his hand through intending to grab Sha're, but instead she walked back out of his reach and continued to stare at him.
"Sha're! It's me, Daniel." He said, in a choked voice. "Help us!"
"The host body cannot hear you or help you in any way." Amonet hissed.
Daniel glared at her.
"Come on, Sha're. You're strong enough." He urged. "You didn't turn us in on Abydos when you had the chance. You can overcome the symbiote. Please try."
Amonet laughed at him.
"Try all you want Daniel Jackson. She'll never listen."
"Goddamn it, you bitch! Leave her alone!" Daniel screamed at Amonet. "You aren't worthy of that body."
"You aren't either." Amonet said, smirking. "Sha're never loved you. She only wanted you for sex."
Daniel screamed as he tried to claw at Amonet. Amonet regarded him with an amused smile.
"Sha're, please, I love you!" Daniel screamed out.
Daniel paused as he noticed the evil smile fade away into a scared look.
"Sha're?" he asked hopefully.
"Daniel? My husband?" Sha're said. "No! They are going to kill you Daniel!"
Suddenly, Sha're's eyes flashed a white glow.
"NO! You will not speak!" Amonet screamed. "I am in control of this body now, not you!"
Daniel gritted his teeth.
"Come on, Sha're! Fight! You just did it! You broke through! She's lying to you! Amonet doesn't control your body, you do!"
Amonet laughed.
"I am glad I came to see you, Daniel Jackson." She said, gleefully. "The torment I just put you through was worth the long walk from my quarters. I shall have to do it again before you are executed. In the meantime, enjoy the brief visit you just had with your former wife."
She smirked at Daniel as he began to scream in rage. Turning her back, she walked off as Daniel cried out to her to come back. The moment she was out of sight, Daniel sank to the floor and began to sob. Sam and M'Jae looked at each other and walked to either side of him. They fell to the floor and began to rub Daniel's back as he wept.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The event horizon flickered and vanished and Jack, Teal'c and Peter found themselves on board the mothership. They grunted as they felt staff weapons being pushed into their back from the 3 serpent guards that had accompanied them and they stepped down the stairs. As they reached the floor, a door in front of them slid open and another serpent guard entered the room. The guard pointed to them.
"Prisoners. You will follow me. I will bring you before Apophis." He said.
"Yup, meeting Apophis face to face is always the highlight of my day." Jack muttered.
He felt the staff weapon in his back again and he moved forward with Teal'c and Peter as the guards followed behind them. They went through the door and into a long corridor. As they walked along, Jack tilted his head towards Peter and whispered.
"You use that web gunk and get this guy in front. Hopefully, the three behind us will be so surprised that they won't react right away and we can grab his staff weapon and take out the three bozos behind us." He said.
Peter nodded. They walked a few more feet and then suddenly, Peter raised his wrist and shot a web line at the guard's staff weapon. He tugged it out of the guard's hand into his and fired at the guard's back, killing him. He turned around and as the serpent guards were staring at their fallen companion in shock, fired off three quick blasts and killed them all.
Jack raised his eyebrows.
"Or you could just take the staff weapon and annihilate them all, that's fine too." He said.
They all turned as they heard footsteps coming further up the corridor. Peter looked at Teal'c and pointed to the armor.
"Can you get that on quickly?" he said.
Teal'c nodded.
"I can. I will impersonate one of the guards then, correct?"
Peter nodded
"Okay, so what about us, then?" Jack said, as Teal'c quickly put on the armor.
"Hang on." Peter said, grabbing him around the waist.
Jack looked down at his waist and up at Peter.
"Look, I'm not that kind of maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!"
Jack screamed as Peter jumped up and stuck to the top of the corridor with his hands and feet. Jack looked down as he was lying on Peter's chest and shrugged as Teal'c looked up at them.
"Hey, whatever works." He said.
As Teal'c finished putting the helmet on, they saw three other Serpent guards turn the corner and stop. Peter flattened his body closer to the ceiling as they came towards Teal'c.
"Hey, watch it." Jack said. "I don't want to be a part of the ceiling, for Christ's sake." He whispered to Peter.
The three serpent guards stared down at the dead bodies and looked up at Teal'c.
"Jaffa, Kree, We have escaped prisoners. They exited through the stargate." Teal'c said, pointing back behind him. "Go now and I shall inform our Lord Apophis, of this."
The serpent guards looked at each other and then hurried past Teal'c towards the gate room. Peter waited until they were out of sight and then grabbing Jack around the waist, he jumped back down beside Teal'c. Jack smiled at Peter.
"You know, I'm beginning to like these abilities of yours more and more." He said. "All you have to do is learn how to contort your back a little more and you might make a nice swing for some lucky child."
He nodded at Teal'c.
"Keep that armor on, it'll come in handy."
He looked at them both.
"Now, I vote we skip tea and cakes with Apophis and just get our friends the Hell outta here. Everyone in favor of that?"
Peter and Teal'c nodded.
"Alright, lets go to it then."
*-----------------------------*-----------------------------*-----------------------------*
Part 7
Peter, Jack and Teal'c walked along the wide corridors of the mothership as they headed towards the prison wing. They had let Peter walk up front since Shoshra had knowledge of the layout of the ship. Twice, they were nearly spotted by serpent guards and it was only because of Peter's spider sense that they were able to duck out of the way in time and avoid being seen.
"How much further is it?" Jack asked as they walked along. "Geez, what does Apophis need all this space for, anyway? His knick knack collection?"
"We're nearly there now." Peter said. "It should be down this corridor and to the right."
"Good, because my feet are starting to ache." Jack said.
He stared at Peter.
"Um....Shoshra knows how to get back to the death gliders from here, so we can escape, right?"
"Yes." Peter said, nodding. "He was on this ship many years. He knows it like the back of his hand."
"Worms have hands?" Jack muttered to Teal'c "Wow, learn something new every day in the military."
"Ah, spider sense is going off!" Peter muttered.
Peter and Jack huddled together as Teal'c put his helmet back up. As two serpent guards came around the corner, Peter and Jack quickly put their hands behind their back. The serpent guards stopped and stared at them and then stared at Teal'c.
"Prison wing?" one of them asked.
Teal'c nodded.
"That is correct."
The serpent guard looked at his companion and both of them moved off down the corridor.
"Phew, that was close." Jack said. "I just hope our luck keeps holding out until we can get off of the ship." He looked at Teal'c "Better keep your helmet on now for the time being in case more snakeheads are around."
Teal'c nodded. He waited until Peter and Jack began walking again before he followed. He held his staff weapon casually at their backs to keep up the illusion that they were prisoners, as they turned right into the prison wing. They found only one serpent guard guarding the entrance to the cell. Teal'c looked at him as he turned and stared at them.
"Jaffa, Kree, Apophis has told me to tell you that you are needed on patrol around the ship. I will relieve you here."
The serpent guard nodded and began to walk away. They waited until he turned into the other corridor before they approached the cell door.
"Oh God, they got Peter and Jack." Daniel said, as they came into view.
"Ah, Danny boy, things are not what they seem!" Jack said.
He looked over at Teal'c who lowered his helmet and nodded at Daniel.
"Indeed. This disguise is only a ruse to fool the other Jaffa into thinking O'Neill and Peter Parker are my prisoners." He said.
Daniel looked at Sam and M'Jae and all of them rushed to the cell door. As Peter and M'Jae hugged through the bars, Daniel patted Jack on the shoulder.
"Good to see ya, again." He said.
Jack nodded.
"Yup, same here, good to see all of you alive and worm free." He said.
He smiled at Sam and gave her a wink.
"Well, two thirds of you are worm free anyway." He said.
He glanced over at Teal'c.
"Well, I guess we could shoot the lock off." He said, nodding at his staff weapon.
"No, wait, that will make too much noise. Let me." Peter said.
He waved everyone back and as they watched in awe, Peter grabbed the cell door and ripped it away.
"Wow! Is there anything you can't do?" Jack asked as he watched Peter sit the door against the wall.
As Daniel, M'Jae and Sam came out of the cell and stood beside them, Jack looked at Peter.
"I guess we're ready to go to the hangar bay now." He said.
Peter nodded.
"Yes, and we better hurry too since any of the guards can walk back here and see that the prisoner's have escaped."
"Okay, then, Teal'c.........you resume the guard bit and we'll be your prisoners and we'll move as quickly as we can to the hangar bay."
"Wait, what about Sha're?" Daniel asked, as he grabbed Jack's shoulder.
Jack looked at Daniel.
"She's here?" he asked, confused.
"Yes, sir." Sam said. "She came awhile ago and taunted Daniel."
Jack finally noticed Daniel's bloodshot eyes and nodded.
"I see. Well, um, Daniel. I don't know how we're gonna get to her. I mean we're taking a huge risk just standing here now. She wouldn't want to go willingly anyway."
"She might." Daniel said. "I managed to get through to her for a moment. She was my wife again for a few seconds before Amonet took over again."
Jack sighed.
"Well see, Daniel, that's the thing. She only fought it off for a few seconds. She's a danger to us."
"She's my wife, Jack." Daniel said, eyes blazing.
Jack gripped his shoulder.
"I know that, Daniel. But now is not the best time to rescue her, okay. We are on a mothership filled with snakeheads and on top of that, she is more than likely with Apophis at this very moment. So, in order to get to her, we'll probably have to fight a zillion guards and him. I want Sha're to be free just as much as you do, but we have to wait until we have the advantage."
"I concur." Teal'c said, nodding. "We are at a disadvantage here. If we try to rescue Sha're, we will be severely overwhelmed in a matter of moments. We must try to flee and wait for a better opportunity."
"So, all of you are just willing to let Sha're go on being a slave." Daniel said, angrily.
Jack sighed.
"No Daniel, we don't want that at all. But, we need to have the upper hand when we do try to rescue her. It won't do to have us getting killed, now would it?"
"Besides, Daniel. Sha're is relatively safe here. Apophis won't hurt his queen." Sam said, squeezing his shoulder. "Jack is right, we need to get out of here and figure out a way to come back and rescue her at a better time."
Daniel sighed and nodded.
"Alright, alright. I see your point. We'll........go." he said.
As the others nodded and began to walk down the corridor, Daniel sighed to himself.
"Forgive me, Sha're." He whispered.

"So, you all are okay? No real injuries?" Jack said, softly as they walked along.
"No, sir. We're fine. We just got surprised by serpent guards as we were helping M'Jae clean up the dishes and put away the food. By the time we knew what had happened, there was about four of them rushing into the hut" she said.
"Shoulda had them try the rat stew, maybe that would have caused them to flee in terror." Jack whispered.
Sam chuckled.
"I didn't think it was that bad, sir. It had a nice flavor to it."
Jack made a face.
"Great, Carter, when we get back home, I'll be sure to set out mousetraps around the SGC so I can cook it for you whenever you want it." He said, rolling his eyes.
"This way, Teal'c." Peter said, pointing to a corridor just to the left of them.
Teal'c nodded and they all turned and followed him down it. Suddenly, they heard an alarm going off.
"Well, either they're having a shipwide fire drill or someone just found the unhinged door." Jack said.
They looked at each other and began to run down the corridor.
"To the right, Teal'c" Peter said, as they came to a T junction.
They reached the end of the corridor when suddenly Peter gave out a yell.
"Spider sense!"
At that moment, Apophis ran in front of them surrounded by four serpant guards. As they stood glaring at them, Jack looked over at Peter.
"Peter, if we get out of this alive. Please take that damn spider sense into the shop and get it upgraded to long range capabilities."

Part 8
Apophis regarded SG-1 with a sneer.
"So, you thought you could escape me?" he said.
"Yeah, we figured we did it once, we can do it again." Jack replied.
Apophis stared at him angrily and his eyes flashed white briefly.
"You will pay for destroying two of my motherships." He said to him.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, just send the US government the bill and they'll get to it, in about a million years." He mumbled.
Apophis snorted and looked from him to Daniel. His sneer widened.
"I understand my queen paid you a visit earlier." He said.
"Yes, my WIFE paid me a visit." Daniel said.
Apophis chuckled.
"Still think she is capable of being herself. She is nothing but my queen now and you know it."
"You don't have as much a hold over her as you think." Daniel said, angrily.
Apophis regarded him silently as a grin spread over his face.
"I think I will implant a symbiote in you and then I shall turn you into Amonet's personal servant. I think it would be a fitting punishment for you to spend the rest of your pathetic life in service to my queen."
Daniel glared at him and began to move towards him. Jack put his hand on his shoulder and shook his head as Daniel moved back to where he had been.
"You know, Apy, you need to learn some people skills. It's so sad when a god such as yourself doesn't know how to get along with mere mortals. You know, you aren't going to win any new converts if you keep insulting them and possessing their wives."
Apophis grinned.
"So you admit I am a god?"
Jack snorted.
"No, I admit I just laid some heavy sarcasm on you that apparently you were too dim to pick up on. How you ever convinced people you were fit to rule over them is beyond me."
Apophis glared at him. He nodded at the guard nearest him and the guard quickly raised his Zat gun and shot Jack once. Jack cried out and dropped to the floor rolling in pain.
"Okay, maybe I should learn to keep my big mouth shut sometimes." He gasped out.
Apophis grinned at him. He looked at his guards.
"Take them to the torture room." He looked at Daniel "Except for him, take him to the implantation room and get my queen as well. I'm sure she'll want to watch."
As they moved forward, Peter suddenly shot out a web and ensnared Apophis's body. He pulled Apophis to him as the guards stopped and stared at him. Peter nodded to Teal'c and Teal'c pointed his staff weapon at Apophis's head.
"What? What is this?" Apophis cried out, as he stared at the webbing.
"Oh I'm sorry." Jack said, as he struggled to his feet. "We forgot to tell you about what the Rak did to Peter. It seems you inadvertently gave him all these new abilities when you tried to kill him. Silly us, it seemed to slip our minds. Oh well, I guess you know now!" he said.
Peter glared at the guards
"Either all of you step back and let us pass or we'll just have to kill your so called god." Peter said, nodding to the staff weapon.
"And won't that be a bummer for you since you'll all get to see just how mortal he really is." Jack said.
The guards looked at one another and then at Apophis.
"Do it! Do what he says!" he cried out.
Jack snorted.
"My, my, it sounds like he's afraid of dying. Could it be Apy isn't immortal after all?" Jack said, grinning.
He looked over at Peter.
"Let's just take him along in case his followers get any ideas!"
Peter nodded and tightened his grip around Apophis as Teal'c kept his staff weapon on him. They started to move as they kept their eyes on the guards who were now backed up against the wall. Once they were out of sight, Daniel suddenly stopped everyone.
"Hang on, I wanna do something before we go on." He said.
He moved in front of Apophis and glared at him for a moment before he suddenly raised his fist and decked him as hard as he could.
"That's for Sha're!" he said.
As Peter held Apophis back, Daniel calmly walked back to his place and looked at everyone as they stared at him in shock.
"Okay, we can keep going now." He said.
"Wow, Danny boy, I never knew you had it in you." Jack said, in admiration.
"Well, he had it coming." Daniel said, shrugging.
Jack raised his eyebrows and glanced at Sam.
"Never piss off Daniel, I guess."
Sam chuckled and nodded.
"You'll pay for that, Tau'ri." Apophis said, glaring at Daniel.
"Um Apy-poo, unless you want a severe bitch slapping next, I wouldn't say anything further to Daniel." Jack said, glancing over at Daniel as he narrowed his eyes.
Apophis glared at Jack but said nothing.
They headed off down the corridor with Peter leading the way. Finally after numerous twists and turns, they found themselves in the hangar bay. They looked at the death gliders and then all of them looked at Apophis.
"What about him, sir?" Sam asked. "We can't just leave him here."
"If you take me, my legions will come and retrieve me." Apophis said, glaring at them. "They will make you pay for the treatment I have suffered. I have no right to be treated in this manner"
"Oh, bitch, bitch, bitch, that's all you ever do! Is there a form of male PMS that Goa'ulds suffer from or something?" Jack said, rolling his eyes.
He stared at Apophis and a grin spread over his face.
"No, we won't take you with us, because frankly, we don't want to hear you pissing and moaning while we make our escape. However, nothing says we can't have a little fun with you."
He looked at Peter and walking over to him, he began to whisper in his ear. Apophis watched fearfully as a grin spread over Peter's face and both of them looked at him.
"Good idea." Peter said.

The four guards that had been with Apophis earlier ran into the hangar bay. After the prisoners had disappeared down the corridor with Apophis, they had ran and gotten several more Serpent guards together. Guessing that they were headed for the hangar bay, they had hurried down as quickly as they could.
All of them stopped and stared at the 3 missing death gliders.
"We were correct, they have escaped with our Lord Apophis." The lead guard said.
"No, they didn't. I'm right here."
The guards stared at each other and looked around as they heard Apophis's voice echoing through the hangar bay.
"My Lord? Where are you?" the lead guard asked, as he searched around.
"Up here, you fools!"
The guards all looked up and gasped as they saw Apophis above them. They stared at the webbing that was attaching his torso to the ceiling.
"My Lord?" the lead guard said.
"Yes! It's me! Get me down from here!" Apophis screamed.
"Um, hang on my lord. We'll have to get something that can get us up to the ceiling." The guard said.
Apophis looked at the guards and screamed in frustration as the guards ran out of the hangar bay.

"Well, they'll probably be there awhile trying to get chrome dome off the ceiling, so hopefully we'll be far enough away by then." Jack said, looking back at Sam as they sat in the death glider.
Sam chuckled.
"I just wish we had a M.A.L.P. with us. I bet Hammond would have loved to have seen pictures of that beamed back to him." She said.
"Hey, I would have loved to have seen pictures of that." Jack said.
He chuckled.
"Maybe Apy will use his god like powers to get himself down from the ceiling."
Jack and Sam looked at each other and laughed as they followed the other two death gliders back towards the planet.

(Two Months later.)
The event horizon faded and SG-1 and Peter stepped down from the ramp. Hammond smiled at them.
"Thank you for coming, Peter." He indicated the two men behind them.
"This is Martouf and Jacob of the Tok'ra resistance."
Peter smiled at them.
"It's a pleasure." He said.
Jacob nodded and bowed his head.
"We had heard of Fallesh's execution. We were saddened by it. Fallesh had been a valued member of the Tok'ra. We are happy to know that Shoshra lives on in you." Selmac said.
Peter bowed his head
"Thank you Selmac, I am happy to be in Peter's body and I am glad that I can continue the fight against the Goa'uld." Shoshra said.
Selmac nodded and smiled. He bowed his head and Jacob looked at Sam.
"Hey, you!" he said. "Missed ya."
"Hey, dad!" Sam said, hugging him. "I missed you too. How is life among the Tok'ra?"
"Not bad." Jacob said, laughing. "I tell ya though, it's a different life than the one on Earth. I miss having no TV sometimes. I used to love watching football games on Sunday morning."
Sam laughed and kissed his cheek. She looked over at Martouf who smiled at her.
"Sam" he said, smiling at her.
Sam hugged him.
"Hey Martouf, It's good to see you." She said.
"It is good to see you too, Sam." He said, hugging her back. "I am keeping an eye on your dad, just as I promised."
"Thank you for doing that, Martouf. I really appreciate it. I just hope he hasn't been a handful for you." She said, winking at Jacob.
Martouf laughed.
"No, actually, it's been very entertaining. I never knew Earth culture could be so fascinating. Especially sports and..movies. I shall have to stay longer next time so I can see some of these football games and..Stallone movies."
Sam looked at Jacob.
"Let me guess..Rambo."
Jacob grinned.
"Of course, Rambo is one of the great movie series of all time." He said.
Sam rolled her eyes.
Martouf laughed. He looked over at Peter and smiled.
"We have been informed of your wish to remain off world so you can defend your new home from Goa'uld attack. We have met with the Tok'ra high council and they have agreed to your request."
"Great!" Peter said.
"On the condition, that you check in from time to time so that we can share information with you and you with us."
"Sure, that's fine."
Jacob nodded.
"We will give you the coordinates of the Tok'ra homeworld in private then, so you'll be able to come to us when you need to."
Peter nodded.
"That's all we wanted to tell you if you wish to return home now." Jacob said.
Peter nodded.
"Okay, I'll be going then. Thanks so much for meeting with me and for understanding my need to be with M'Jae and the others."
"Of course." Martouf said. "Just know that anytime you need assistance, the Tok'ra are ready to help."
"Thanks. The same goes for me too." He looked at Jack "And for the SGC, of course."
"Just be careful, Peter, and don't get caught in your own webbing or something. We don't want to have to make a special trip just to pry your butt off a tree."
Peter laughed.
"You forget though, spiders can't get caught in their own webbing."
"But you aren't all spider, so does that apply to you?" Daniel asked.
"I don't know. Maybe once I get back, I'll shoot out some webbing and ram up against a tree."
"Well, if you do and you're wrong, you are on your own." Jack said.
"Gotcha!" Peter said.
He looked around at everyone and waved at them. Everyone waved back except for Teal'c who smiled and bowed his head. As the event horizon settled down into the wall of water, he walked up the ramp and looked at everyone one last time before walking through.
