ICE

To long a time without a sob

To long a time without a laugh

Being without feeling was so good at first

Being freed from emotion was so right at first

After too much turmoil in heart and soul

ICE took care of his inner self

After too many tears glistening in his eyes

ICE made sure they never were spilled

But losing fears meant losing courage

And losing tears meant losing laughter

And losing despair meant losing hope

And losing insecurity meant losing trust

Now that ICE froze his inside

It began showing on the outside

Eyes being ICE blue

Smiles being polite

Appearance stiff and rigid

Heart and Soul... frozen

FIRE

To long a time with too much anger

To long a time with too much hate

Being burned by feelings was so good at first

Being heated by emotion was so right at first

After too much turmoil in heart and soul

FIRE took care of his inner self

After too many tears glistening in his eyes

FIRE made sure they never were spilled

But feeling anger meant losing sympathy

And feeling hate meant losing love

And feeling arrogance meant losing compassion

And feeling independence meant losing trust

Now that FIRE burned his inside

It began showing on the outside

Eyes being blazing green

Smiles being arrogant

Appearance cramped and aggressive

Heart and Soul... burned

ICE and FIRE

ICE and FIRE meeting

Melting the frozen heart, cooling the burning soul

ICE starting to fear, FIRE giving him courage

FIRE stopping his anger, ICE giving him sympathy

ICE starting to cry, FIRE laughing with him

FIRE stopping hate, ICE loving with him

ICE starting to despair, FIRE giving him hope

FIRE stopping arrogance, ICE giving him compassion

ICE starting to feel unsure, FIRE trusting him

FIRE stopping independence, ICE trusting him

Blues eyes locking with green
