I had my first hamster back when I was 7. She was a female golden Syrian named Hafaty. I can still remember the first day she bit me which was about 2 days after my parents brought her for me. I cried at the sink to my Mom saying I wanted a goldfish not a hamster!
Fourteen years on and I still keep hamsters, I must of enjoyed the bite deep down. My collection of rodents has grown since then, I now have 4 Rats who are Treacle, Toffee, Homer and Bart. I have 5 Gerbils who are Monty, Bing, Bong, Itchy and Scratchy. and finally 11 Hamsters who are Kiwi, Moppy, Gimli, Shiva, Shadow, Storm, Thunder, Sky, Blaze, Luna and Vee Man, All of which live happily in my bedroom. It�s a good job really a bomb could go off when I�m asleep as a lot of people would be kept awake from all the noise.
Anyway after much thought I finally decided it was time I built a website dedicated to my love of rodents. Rodent Retreat was born.
