Fic: Chibi chibi's Christmas
Summary: Chibi chibi wants to meet the Real Santa Claus

Everything was all set. The Christmas tree was lit up in the corner of the living room and stockings hung over the fireplace. A plate of cookies had been set out on the coffee table for the special someone who was coming to visit that night. I hope he comes soon, Chibi chibi thought. After making sure that Rogue and Sean were sound asleep, she had snuck out of bed and downstairs. "I can't wait to meet him," she said. Rogue and Sean had told her stories of him coming down the chimney, bringing toys to all the good boys and girls. Well, she had definitely been good that year. So she just HAD to be on Santa's "good list". She'd seen other Santas in the malls, but knew that they weren't the real things, that they were only getting information from the little kids so Santa could know what they wanted. But Sean said that Santa already knew.... Well, she thought, maybe Santa just wanted to be sure. He does check his list twice to see who has been naughty and who has been nice. So he must send those other Santas out to make sure that he's got his gift list right.

All this reasoning made Chibi chibi very sleepy and she soon drifted off to sleep on the couch. She had been dreaming of cake and candy when she was awakened by a large thump on the roof. "Oh boy," she squealed happily. "It's him! It's him!" She hid behind the couch, which allowed her a good view of the fireplace without having her be seen.  So she waited.. and waited.. and waited... she was about to give up when something large slid down the chimney. Holding her breath, Chibi chibi watched as the huge figure climbed out of the fireplace. After looking around, he made a low whistle and someone else slid down the chimney and out of the fireplace, carrying a large red sack over his shoulder. The second person was about a foot shorter than the first and she wondered who that could be. Must be an elf, she thought. Noticing the cookies on the table, the large man wrapped them in a napkin and put them in the pocket of his suit. Chibi chibi decided that this was her chance.

"Santa!!!" she yelled, running from her hiding place and hugging his leg. "I knew you would come!" Releasing his leg, she looked up at him and she noticed that something was definitely wrong. Sure, this guy had a red suit, but Santa was supposed to chubby. "Hey, Santa," she asked. "Why aren't you chubby?"

The false Santa shrugged his shoulders. "Exercise and a good diet?"

"Hey! You're not Santa Claus! You look like Kane."

The elf, who had been watching the exchange from the fireplace, burst into laughter. "Santa Claus!" he gasped between breaths. "She thought YOU were Santa?!"

The Santa that looked remarkably like Kane gave the elf a stern look which ended the laughing fit. He then turned his attention to Chibi chibi. "No, I'm not Santa Claus. I guess I'm sort of a Santa Kane. I bring presents to all the people who believe in Kane. Do you believe, little one?"

"I do," Chibi chibi said, happily. "I do!"

"Shane," Santa Kane said, snapping his fingers. "The bag."

The elf brought the bag over to him, grumbling along the way.

"Quit your griping," he said to Shane. "Things could be worse. You could be working in Radio Shack like your sister." Taking the bag from Shane, he reached inside, searching for the right present. "Almost... got it..." he said, fumbling around in the bag. "I know I put it in here before we left," he said as he shoved his head into the bag. "AHHA!" he said, triumphantly pulling out a box wrapped in red and gold paper.

Chibi chibi took the box from him, shaking it to see if she could tell what was inside.

"Not until morning," he said, taking the box from her and placing it under the Christmas tree. "Now you be a good girl and get to bed. Shane and I got some more gifts to drop off."

Giving Santa and Shane one last hug, Chibi chibi ran up the stairs to her bedroom. She got under the covers and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

"Where to next?" Santa asked after placing the last gift under the tree.

"Umm.. West Virginia," Shane said, after checking his list.

"Let's make that stop a quick one," he said, entering the fireplace. "Those pine trees kill me."
