Kane County Mounted Rangers
The Kane County Mounted Rangers is a volunteer organization affiliated with the Kane County Illinois Forest Preserve District.

Our primary function is to patrol the forest preserves of Kane County, enhancing public safety by acting as a deterrent to crime.  The group also performs in parades, assists with parking/crowd control at special events such as Cross Country Track meets, and participates in other events such as National Night Out.

Requirements in brief: Horse must be safe to be exposed to the general public. Prospective members must pass criminal background check and one-year probationary status before earning their badge. Other requirements apply (uniforms, etc.)

Meetings are held monthly on the second Thursday at 7:30 pm at the Campton Township Community Center, located at 5N082 Old LaFox Road, North of Routh 64 in Wasco, IL.
[Note-no regular meeting in December due to our yearly seminar]
