END OF LIFE FOR THE LINUX ICEBOX
Dear Readers,
After 7 years of service to the Linux community, alas to all good things an ending. I will no longer be updating this site. As of May 1, 2004 the Linux IceBox will be closing and no more updates will be uploaded. It has been fun and it has been a pleasure, a privilege and an honor to serve my fellow Linux users. It has lived and prospered from jumping from server to server before finally finding a home on Geocities. It survived a bad breakup between me and a GF, yes she tried to be spiteful and shut the site down because at the time the site was my life, it survived controversy, I was threatened with bodily harm over this site and it survived Arturo Molina back in '98 who complained about naked angels (Don't ask) the site on geocities alone in the last 5 yrs generated over 518,434 visitors. Some of you have been great friends and you taught me a lot, for that I say thank you. Some of you were not such great friends and you did nothing but complain but I thank you for the experiences and the memories. Hard to believe when I started this site I was on Windows 3.1 and Slackware Linux and now Im on Windows Server 2003 and SuSE 9.1. I will leave these pages up here for archive purposes until I can find a more permanent place for my whitepapers and tutorials. If you wish to Link to the pages please feel free to do so. Please write to me at this address if you have any questions or for permissions: [email protected]I wish everyone the best of luck in their future endeavors, once again thank you ALL for great memories and for the greatest 7 years of my life
Sincerely,
Roberto J. Dohnert
