The purpose of this page isn't to host any projects, but to comment on new series I've discovered, or new groups I've found. It's a webpage for me--and anyone else who stumbles in here--to keep manga and anime links organized and follow who's doing which project. You're welcome to share in what I've found. ♥ ♥

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Chapitre 149 SPOILER ALERT!!
{Apr. 2, 2007}

SOOOOOOOOO!! OMG-type developments in chapitre 148! So, since the magazine comes out every Saturday, I figured that was enough time for someone, somewhere to put up a rough scan. AND guess what, I found it! Low and behold, I found more than I was looking for, *gasp* a rough translation of a synopsis! REJOICE! The scans can be found in this spanish forum, I can only assume it's all the pages, and you have to scroll halfway down. Scans--and the translated synopsis is the link in that same post.

Takeru Vol 1, Chp 3
{Mar. 7, 2007}

New chapter of Takeru out from Snow Kiss! Go appreciate it--immediately! lol I hear chapter 4 is soon to follow...

Site Updates
{Mar. 5, 2007}

I have a lot of homework to do, and work in the morning, and yet here I am... web-tinkering and watching The Colbert Report... why? Why do I do this? lol I've upgraded my site plan. So look, no ads! And I've added a tagboard. Use it if you dare. I don't know what for. So yeah. And later, I might add a graphics section--for the random crap I doodle around with at work in Photoshop. I cannot promise you that it'd be anything worthwhile, but if you like anything, you'll be welcome to it... just drop me a note on the tagboard to make me giggle. But like I said--that'll be later, later. (I want a ColbertNation t-shirt..)

Moochi & Snow Kiss
{Mar. 1, 2007}

New site in the Banner section: Moochi. They host various anime and manga for your enjoyment. They'll be hosting Superior, as well, or so I've read in the tagboard... OH--and I'll be working for Snow Kiss, editing, typesetting, whatever they need. Look forward to our releases and hard work! lol

New Archives Section
{Feb. 28, 2007}

I got tired of scrolling waaaay down to the bottom... so now I've begun the archives section--located in the My Pages section. OH! And new group: Snow Kiss. They've started out doing some nifty projects such as Superior, Takeru, Variente, and Cristo, Blue-Eyed Messiah. So go check them out and show your support! I've made a banner for them in the links section. Actually, the whole banner section is new... So yeah. AND if you were following the ordeal with VK Scans and the persecution of their forum, well, the forum is back up again--and hopefully for good this time... ^^"
EDIT: The forum isn't really up, the back-up data was corrupted... thanks IP...

Vampire Knights Have a New Site!
{Feb. 23, 2007}

Extra, extra! Read all about it! Vampire Knights have a new website for their scan projects! Because of mean, "let's report them"-san, they stepped up their release of their long awaited site. So here you go, keep in mind that it's still under construction: VK Scans
Make sure you compliment them on their new site-niftiness!

3 New Sites & Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge
{Feb. 22, 2007}

I've added 3 new links to the manga section. I discovered Entropy due to a partnership with ShoujoMagic. They have a lot of good looking manga that's worth checking out. I *highly* recommend FIVE because I like the story and love the art... DGT is a group a lot people know about--I've been following their Platinum Garden series--and I should've had the link up earlier so I didn't have to Google it everytime... And finally, Animewaves, with their Sonan Jyanaiyo series which I wish would get released a little faster... but I guess you don't always get what you wish for.. It's by the same mangaka as Doubt!! but the group has only released like 7 chapters I think in over a year. Like way over... *sobsob*
...But anyway. I'm thinking of looking at their other projects--and you should, too! And you know what? If you want to help any of the groups listed in the manga section--download stuff on Bittorent if they have it, and keep the window open as long as possible so you can help everyone else!

And OMG! I almost forgot--my new obsession of the hour--Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge. I really like the combination of bishie-boy and chibi-girl/humor/goth combination. I personally like the art in the manga way better than the anime, but the anime has more SD humor which makes me giggle. The manga is available in the U.S. under the title "The Wallflower," and the anime is easily found at anime.bww2 in the list at the left. It's currently still airing in Japan. So yay. OH. And Code Geass is still going, too. For some reason I thought it stopped this season at ep 15... but nope.. I think that's all, finally..

VK Scans Forum Back Up!
{Feb. 5, 2007}

The VK Scans forum was back online last week. They'd been taken down for ToS breech and weren't back in service until the "offending sections" had been removed. (Or at least the ones that non-members could see--which leads me to think it was a non-member that reported them.) So future releases will have to be on their up-coming web page or their IRC channel. Check the forum for that channel address and any IRC tutorials.

School Rumble Manga Continues
{Feb. 5, 2007}

The single-person outfit (or so I've heard) Townsocks has been releasing the manga chapters of School Rumble pretty regularly. Various places for you to get the current week's chapter. Stoptazmo has been uploading them, but for the quickest releases, Tokyo Toshokan would be the place. I know I've posted all this before, but even I forgot. So just a reminder. And things just got dramatic at the end of chapter 211--between a certain Tenma, Yakumo, and Ojou-san. Yay! Cliffhanger! According to the previous release dates, it looks like a new one is up every Saturday.

Yotsuba&! <~~~> Yotsubato!
{Jan. 26, 2007}

Yotsuba&!, as some may know, is a super-nifty manga by the same mangaka that did Azumangadaioh. It *was* licensed in the U.S. by ADV Manga, but the last volume they released was volume 3 way back in 2005. Looking on their website, I see nothing about any further releases... slipping into the depths of despair, I looked for scans but couldn't find any at first under "Yotsuba&!" but have no fear! They are available under "Yotsubato!" lol Seeing how "to" is the equivalent of "and" in Japanese........ (I should've thought of that sooner...) So yeah. A link to VEER's scans is at the top of the manga links now. That makes my week.

VK Scans forum down
{Jan. 25, 2007}

So. VK Scans has had their forum down for the past several days... don't quite know what that's about. I don't know if they got kicked or if they took it down themselves--but I do know that they'd been talking about setting up an actual website for releases and stuff. So *maybe* that's what they're doing. maybe. You can still find them on IRC @ #vk on irc.irchighway.

New Manga Links--Kare First Love and Hana Kimi
{Jan. 19, 2007}

I've added 3 new manga links at the top of the list to the left. MLFS is a Yahoo! group that hosts various manga--including the complete Hana Kimi series. I have to say that I like the concept, but the art doesn't really impress me, and the story seems more centered on school mishaps than actually furthering the main love-story plotline. Maybe a tad too slow for me? I dono, I think I'll give it a couple more volumes. And I think there's a Korean drama out now, based on this plotline. Look that up on D-Addicts.

Shoujo Magic is a scanlation group that does shoujo manga only--and most of it is a little lesser known. Be wary of the smut. Um, and my new series of interest: Kare First Love. It's kind of funny, b/c I've seen volumes for this at the book store, but the cover art never interested me and the story sounded a little generic. But now I really like it... Generic or not! lol Volumes 1-5 are hosted by MLFS and chapter 29 is available at Stoptazmo. The Oyasumi group has recently picked up the series at chp 30--I don't know how long that will take. I think this is yet another case where I'll end up spending hundreds of dollars (over several years) collecting the U.S. edition here--sometimes it's faster than waiting weeks for groups to scanlate one chapter. But yeah--cute series.

Hana Yori Dango Season 2 jdourama and Code Geass anime
{Jan. 12, 2007}

Happy belated holidays! Guess which super-awesome jdourama of doom is back for a second season?! lol I'm uber-excited in all of my geeky glory--this was the series that introduced me to j-drama and I'm pretty much in love with the entire series: manga/anime/drama. So yeah, fun times speculating and anticipating the weekly releases. [Sars] is subbing the second season like they did the first, in HD. lol The first episode is 2 hours long and about 1gb to download. You can get the torrent here from D-Addicts. Another hard-subbed version was released before [Sars] and has been circulating. The single-person subber at arashi.vox.com asks that fans respect her wishes. Please don't redistribute her sub and please do redirect everyone to her vox page where she has direct downloads available. (If everyone cooperates, maybe she'll continue getting subs out early....?) Just FYI.

And I recently started watching a new anime--Code Geass: Lelouche of the Rebellion. CLAMP's in the credits, and you can see their influence in the characters. The animation's pretty good, it's got one of those mech/school/secret heir/rebellion plotlines, and the main character--well, we'll see whether he's a good guy or bad guy... or maybe in between. Worth watching. You can get .mkv files at anime.bww2.com. [Shinsen] was subbing it (.avi files), but I don't see all of the 12 known episodes on their torrent list... so maybe they're just going a little slow.
