| After dinner, Justin had suggested they take a walk on the beach and she agreed. She couldn't help but shake the feeling of having a thing for Justin. He was the type of guy she went for, but under this circumstance she knew better. She knew that no matter what she shouldn't fall or else havoc would reek. It was bad enough that she was so attached to them all and behind their backs she was selling them out even if she hadn't given an once of information about their lives. The walk on the beach was very quiet and peaceful. They didn't say a word to each other; both lost in their own thoughts. Secretly, Justin would sneak glances at Diamond and capture her face under the moon's cast of light. A tingly feeling would emerge whenever she was near him and he knew the meaning to it. He had fallen for her and fast. Falling for a woman who works for you and you would be seeing every day was a bad thing. From seeing people he knew deal who mixed business with pleasure and what Diamond had been through with Jamie, he knew there was a slim chance for anything, but still had hope. Grabbing her hand; breaking her out of her thoughts, he walked them to a section where they wouldn't be seen by anyone who came on the beach. Sitting, she laughed out loud, causing Justin to look at her. "Sorry, a bad habit. Laughing when I feel scared. It weird but, eh. You just scared me when you did that," she said containing himself. "You are so crazy sometimes you know. No wonder you and Chris hang out so much. Please don't turn into another one. We have one and that's enough," he laughed, getting a bright smile from her. "I promise. So what do you want to talk about?," she said, fixing herself in a comfortable position. "You. I want to know more about you. You know a lot about me so its your turn. What about your family? You've never talked about them," he stated. Surprise and shocked, she nervously played with her finger for a few. Looking up at him, she suddenly had the urge to spill her life story to his sincere eyes. "Well, my parents are dead. They died when I was 13 in a car crash on their way to see me at a school recital. I had often blamed myself for their death because if they wouldn't have came and stayed home; they would still be alive. I'm older now and know its not my fault. They weren't the best parents, but they tried their best. My parents were really young when I was born. My mother was only 15 and father was 17 when she gave birth to me. When they died, I was sent to live with my fragile grandmother and by the time I turned 18, she had died fighting cancer. After that I was on my own somewhat. Of course I was still with Jamie since I was 16 and he stayed by my side then it all changed once I wasn't so blinded by his lies and you know the rest Just don't say sorry because I hate when people do that," she said, wiping away a small tear that escaped her eyes. "Ok, I won't. You're quite strong though. I really don't know what I would have don without my parents, especially my mama. She's my everything. I promised not to ask questions about Jamie, but do you regret ever being involved with someone you worked with?," he said quietly. "It doesn't matter. You can ask away with him. Yes and no. I regret never spotting out the real Jamie, but working with him was fun when I was younger and naive. He also gave me my child and I can never regret that no matter how much I despise him. I think you know he's good at fronting because the guys didn't suspect a thing. I honestly don't even know why I stayed with him after I found so many things about him. Stupidity I guess. I'm just glad that I'm not tied to him in that way anymore," she said, but mentally she was scolding herself about the words coming out of her mouth. "Yea, I would be too if I were you. He gives off these bad vibes when he suddenly shod up at MTV," he said looking at his watch." Wow, look at the time. We are so dead. Curfew was 1 hour ago." Her eyes bugged out and she immediately got up with Justin, making sure she didn't leave a thing. Arriving at the compound, they silently crept back inside and thankfully, no one spotted them. Walking her to her door, they stopped to say their goodbye's. "J, I had a great time tonight. Thank you for inviting me," she praised. His cheeks turned a slight blush fro her words. "No need to thank me. It was a pleasure being with you. Good night," he said hugging her. While they were pulling away, her earring somehow got stuck on his shirt and they both started to laugh at the incident. Finally detaching her earring from his shirt, he didn't notice how close their faces were to each other. They made eye contact before he started to close in the space between them. Racing thoughts of the consequences for kissing him all disappeared once their lips touch. Closing the tiny space left between them, he held on to her tightly as she ran her hands along the back of his neck. Deepening the kiss when he heard her slightly moan through his lips, she pulled away slowly with her eyes still closed. Standing before her, Justin stood waving his hands and saying her name repeatedly. Breaking her out of the daydream, she stood flushed at what she was dreaming about. "Are you ok? You just went off in a daze on me," he genuinely asked, touching her arm, sending chills through her body. "Yeah, I'm find. Just very tired now. You wore me out. Thanks for tonight. I really enjoyed it," she smiled. "Me too. Get to bed and get some rest. Don't want you to break down from no sleep before the tour even begin," he joked, "Goodnight Mish Mish." Placing a kiss on her cheek and giving her a hug. "Goodnight Ju Ju bee," she laughed, opening her door as he started to walk away. Once behind the door, she leaned her back against the door and let out a sigh of relief. Back Home Chapter 12 |
