| The morning had come quicker than Diamond had expected and thankfully she got everything done with 3 cups of black coffee and doughnuts. That was what she had all night to keep her from falling asleep when the job was only half done and only got about 2 hours of rest. She was practically falling asleep during the car ride. She was always known to be the night owl, but she never stayed up from 7am to 5am the next morning, that was crazy, but she did it. Reaching her destination with a couple others, she covered her red eyes with dark shades and could make out everyone already waiting. To the left, the guys were all lounging and looked like they were pumped and ready. when Justin looked up and noticed Diamond, she turned sharply to avoid looking at him. She hadn't seen him since the incident and wasn't prepared to face him. She felt stupid and vulnerable now that he knew so much about him. Thankfully, Johnny approached her and led her to the guys publicist, make-up, hair, and clothing stylist before Justin could talk to her. "Ok, I've brought you all together because this is a big day and the album is about to hit. You'll all work to please and make them look good. I want to discuss what going to go down when we land. We go staright to the hotel for the guys to get freshened up for some publicity shots. That's Mariam, Nancy, and Terri's job. While their doing that, Michelle you will be at the studio checking it out and making sure everything is in place for the boys. David, you will be getting comments from the boys about the album. There are a lot of questions to be asked. so, since you all know your task, I hope it will get done," Johnny said dismissing everyone, but Michelle. "I would like to commend you. Terri said you were up all last night making sure everything was going to go good. Not many people would take that much rest out to do that," he praised. "Thank you Johnny. I've never done that before, but I wanted everything to be how they wanted even if they don't eat half of the stuff," laughed Diamond. "Thats absolutely true. I see its time to board the plane. Come on," he said. Leading Diamond to the terminal, all through going in, she could feel Justin's eyes burning through her. She knew he wanted to talk badly, but she just wasn't ready. Looking through the aisle of the first class plane, she found her seat and started to get situated. She had no clue who she was seated next to but hoped it wasn't Justin or one of the others. Taking her seat, she stared outside for a few until her thoughts were broken by his voice. "So...I guess your avoiding me?," asked Justin. Her eyes bulged out as she looked at Justin figure sitting next to her. She couldn't believe it. Great...this is just great. Now, he's going to want to talk. "No, I wasn't. I've just been very busy and I did see you it was Johnny who distracted me," she stated confidently as possible. "You're a very bad liar you know that, but I will let that slip. If you avoiding me has to deal with the club, just so you know, I didn't tell anyone what you told me, but it was nice to actually get to know you on a more personal level then professional," he stated, looking into her brown eyes. "It's just that no one was supposed to know that. I didn't want anyone too. Just don't tell or bring him up because he already pissed me-," she said cutting herself off when she realized she slipped again. "You two were talking? What did he say?," questioned Justin. Rolling her eyes at her own stupidity, she let out a dragging sigh. "Are you always this intrigued about other peoples lives and why do you want to know?," fired back Diamond. "I'll admit, I can be nosy at times, but not all the time. You don't have to tell me, but I still don't understand why you work for him after all that," he spoke softly. "Sometimes I don't even know. I can't even answer that question for myself let alone answer yours," she said. "Hmmm....questions of him are done. I promise to not ask about that anymore, but you have to promise me one thing," he challenged. "And what would that be Timbers?," she said, giving him a special nickname. "Timbers?," he questioned. Her eyes glistened from his response. "Yup, ya'll gave me Mish Mish. Don't worry, I have more for you and the guys. Now answer my question," smirked Diamond. "You have to promise to be more open and to stop closing yourself," he said, staring her in the eyes. Shaking her head, she looked back at him with his eyes. Remembering the words of her friend Tia, she smiled. That reminds me, I have to call her. She's probably going to give me a big lecture for not checking up with her and my baby. "Fine, I will be more open, but not to the point where I'm spilling my deepest secrets," she said, folding her arms. "Well, that's a start-" he said before being cut off by the attendant giving the rules before they take off. Looking back at her he smiled and she returned his gesture. Laying in a comfortable position, she notice Justin had his headphones on and eyes closed once they had taken off and smiled at the sight. He looks so peaceful and cute! Whoa....did I just say that? Girl, you didn't say that. Just get some sleep, you really need it, ok. Sleep....that's all you need......Slowly her thoughts drifted off and her body began to rest for the short period of their flight before the chaos would begin. Back Home Chapter 8 |
