| Chapter 28 |
| Tuesday night at 5:40... It was the night of Justin and Amelia's first date and Amelia was in her bedroom trying on various dresses, but none of them seemed to be what she wanted to wear. She was so glad to be home and just concentrate on Justin, especially since she and Mya still worked together at the resturant. All of their co-worker could tell that there was tension i between them whenever they both were in the same room together. Work was becoming stressful and on top of that she was starting to become late on her school work. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, she pulled out another dress and knew this was the one she wanted to wear. The dress was a knee length, beige dress with light sparkles and spaghetti straps criss crossing at the back. Shde couldn't believe that she still had the dress, she hadn't worn it since her high school garduation at the age of 18. Giggling, she brought the dress over to her bed and layed it out. Walking into the bathroom which was lighted with candles, she turned the warm water on and poured the right amount of bubbles in. Peeling off her clothes, she relaxed her body in the water and closed her eyes. Justin's house... Pacing around the room, Justin was becoming annoyed at the fact he couldn't find anything to wear. He was so nervous about the date, he couldn't even eat lunch today. Hearing his bedroom door open, he turned around and was met with his mother, who had a smirk on her face. "Sweetie wear the off white shirt with the beige pants and stop worrying. I have a feeling your date will be wonderful," said Lynn while Justin pulled them out. "Thank you so much mom. I was getting annoyed with finding something to wear. Lets just hope the date goes goes as palnned," said Justin, putting on his clothes. "It will. Now, don't take too long, you have 20 more mintutes," said Lynn. "Thanks Ma. Love you," said Justin, while Lynn blew him a kiss and she closed the door. Amelia... Fixing her hair once more, she looked herself in the mirror and gave a bright smile. She was quite impressed with herself since she rarely wore make-up and have fancy hair styles. Looking at the bathroom clock it read 7:00, grabbing her purse, she walked trough her bedroom and into the livingroom. Once she it the livingroom, her doorbell rung. Suddenly, her heart started pounding, she took a deep breath and opened the door. "Hey, you're exactly on the dot. I'm really impressed and you look really handsome. We kinda match," giggled Amelia. "Hey, these roses are for you and you look beautiful tonight. You're right, we kinda do match," laughed Justin. "Aww... thank you for the roses.Let me just put them in water and we'll be on our way," said Amelia, walking over to the kitchen sink. Justin took this time to take a very good look at Amelia as she put the roses in the vase. He ingraved the way she looked, everything from her hair down to her feet. Grabbing her hand as she closed the door, he led her outside of the apartment to his car. Opening the passenger side for her, he helped her inside and dashed over to the driver side. Shutting his door, he turned on the engine and backed out. Driving away from her aprtment. It had been atleast 1 hour and half of driving an Amelia was getting very anxious and couldn't take the fact that Justin wouldn't tell her where they were going. Turning her head towards Justin, she studied the way Justin made differnt facial expressions as he drove and she could tell that he was concentrating very hard because he had creases on her forhead. Soon enough, she busted out giggling and culdn't stop. "Whats so funny?," asked Justin. "You. You make these weird facial expressions when you concentrate really hard while you're driving and I couldn't help but laugh at you. Sorry, If I've hurt your feelings by laughing," giggled Amelia. "For real? My mom and the guys tell me that all the time, but I didn't believe them," said Justin, taking his eyes off the road for a moment. "Oh yeah, you sure do. Where are we going? When are we going to get there? I'm getting really impacient," complained Amelia. "Ha ha ha, 5 more mintutes and we'll be there," said Justin. "Alright, you got five mintutes," said Amelia. Closing her eyes, Amelia let the sound of the wind calm her down. It seemed that what shes been doing for the whole day, is calming herself down. Feeling the car stop and Justin's voice telling her that they have reached, she opend her eyes and gasped. The scenery was amazing and breathtaking. The sky was clear with bright stars sparkling and the waves rushing up onto the shore. "Wow! Justin this is beautiful. I don't know what to say," said Amelia. "You haven't seen anything yet. Come on. I have more to show you," said Justin, opening his door and Amelia doing the same. Grabbing Amelia's hand, he led her to a very secluded part of the beach that he rented out himself. As they neared their spot, a trail of candles were lit with rose peddles. Amelia was so speechless and impressed that Justin went through all this for their first date. Finally, reaching the destination, Amelia came face to face with a beautiful picnic layed out for them. "Justin! You really didn't have to do this. Did you cook this?," asked Amelia. "Yes, I did cook the food. This is a very special dinner for a very special lady. Now, lets stop with the questions and go with the flow," replied Justin, leading Amelia to the blanket layed out.
