| The joy of laughter rang through the hotel room when Tanisha and Mya had come back from a shopping spree. They were like best friends since the whole Amelia's ordeal. Mya had become Amelia's replacement and the family was constant and happy with it. Putting all their bags down in the living area, the laughter all stopped when they noticed Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs in a heated argument. Tanisha, always being the nosy older sister she was had to inturupt. "Mom, Dad, what are you two arguing about now?," she asked, Mya sat beside her on the three seated chair. "Amelia....we're trying to figure out why of all the places would she come to Texas and I think I know were she is hiding because my mother's house was given to her," screamed Mrs. Jacobs. Directing it towards her husband in frustration. "That would definetely explain why she lives here and wasn't the house close to the store we saw her at?," questioned Mya. "Yes! Thats what I've been trying to tell this stubborn man here for the last hour. Before we leave this state, I want to see for myself and if she lives there, I want to end this bull once and for all," demanded Mrs. Jacobs. "I am not going to drive all the way there just so you can prove something," he said, standing his ground. "Dad, stop being so stubborn. I agree with mom. Lets just check this out. If we don't see anything then we'll leave. Are you in or not?," stated Tanisha, Mya immediately agreeing with her. "Fine, I'll be in. We better leave know if we want to check a plane back," Mr. Jacobs spoke, giving in. Grabing the keys, he headed to the door with the women following without a word. They had been driving for 2 hours and just turned upon the corner of the street Amelia supposedly lived in. Spotting multiple cars, Mrs. Jacobs gave her husband an 'I told you so' look. Pulling on the side walk, they all came out of the car just as Lynn was walking out with Jislea to play on the yard. Shock was appearent on Mya, Mrs. Jacobs, and Lynn faces as they noticed eachother. Walking back to the front with Jisela crying about wanting to play, Mrs. Jacobs came out of her shock state. "Wait! What are you doing here?," she asked. Stopping in her place, she looked at the woman who gave birth to such a wonderful young lady and couldn't believe she could be what she was. Jislea's crying from outside was finally heard and Amelia's mother instincts kicked in even though she knew Lynn was possibily taking care of it, but something else was also pulling her to come outside. "Lynn, what's wrong with Jisela?," she asked, coming outside; not noticing her worst fears.Taking Jisela in her arms, she looked up and locked eyes with her so called mother. "Oh god, what are people doing here?," she whispered to herself. Covering her mouth in shock, she didn't wait for anyone to say a thing to her. She briskly walked back in the house with Lynn right behind her and shut the door. Back Home Chapter 19 |
