| White pale walls. That was all Amelia could think about while she lay stiff in her white bed inside her hospital room. She hated hospitals and everything about them. Their walls and the whole room besides her bunches of dozen red and pink roses made it seem she had died and gone to heaven. She had just awakened and couldn't distinguish her surrounds when a nursed walked in and immediately buzzed her doctor to come. She had been told that she got in bad car wreck and had been out of it for the past two weeks and had quite some visitors. She presumed from there that many the boys had been visiting. Lynn, Courtney, Cortanay, Jisela, Justin, and the rest of the guys had all arrived to the hospital. Justin was surprised to see that they were here because he had completely forgot to call and tell them the news. Each of the guys had taken some sort of a vacation with their family members when he found out. His emotions were so high at the time, but Lynn had informed them a week later and all took a flight to arrive today. Each if the guys were very distraught about the news. Just as Justin knew Amelia well, they also knew she wasn't a crazed driver. She would actually yell at Joey and Chris when they didn't pay close attention to the highway when they drove. Seeing the doctor greet them with a smile, they tried their best to give one back. "Hello, its nice to see you'll again and in better circumstances. First off, Amelia is doing great. Her vitals are exactly at the right points and she seems very healthy. She can remember everyone in her past and future, but doesn't actually remember anything that happen after or before her car crash. I would like to keep her for one more night and make sure everything is smooth and then you can take her back home with you tomorrow," explained doctor Wilson. A complete sense of relief was suddenly amongst the room replacing tension that was evident. Jisela little mind was the most confused. All she understood was what her grandmother told her and that was her mother was sick and she went to the doctor. That was enough to calm the little girls fear and help her stay in a comfortable state of mind. "Thank you doctor Wilson. Is there any chance that we could see her?," asked Lynn. "Yes, you'll may see her, but please don't overwhelm her. Her room number is 210 on the right," said the doctor. Excitement was the for everyone at that exact moment. Everyone was making they way to Amelia room when Lynn decided for them to walk in a few at a time just to make sure that don't over excite her. She already had been through so much and didn't want to poor girl to be bombarded again. Lynn with Jisela in her arms, Justin, Courtney, and JC all walked in first with the other following shortly. Amelia never expected such a greeting in her life. She smiled very brightly when she heard her daughter scream the word mommy. "Wow, you guys this is amazing. I never expected such a thing," gushed Amelia. Caressing her face, Lynn smiled. "Well, you should always expect the unexpected. You're apart of our family," genuinely said Lynn. "Yea, we wouldn't back out on you. We love you too much to do so," stated Justin. Amelia smiled Justin at his kind words. Deep down she understood his meaning of saying that. He wasn't just speaking for the rest, he was speaking for himself about still loving her no matter what. "What did the doctor say to you guys about me getting out of this horrid room?," asked Amelia. "He said he going to keep you here for one more night and if all goes well, then you come home," said Joey, hugging her tightly. "Thank God! All I want to do is sleep in my own bed and take a warm bubble bath and soak," lazily spoke Amelia. "Oooo. . . . bubbles. Mommy, I whant bubbles," squealed Jisela, getting a pool of laughter from everyone. "Well, when I come home, we'll definitely have a bubble bath," promised Amelia, kissing Jisela all over her face. Their moment was interrupted when the nurse walked in and said that Amelia needed her rest and that they could come back early tomorrow to see her. The nurse exited right afterwards and the guys all came up closer to give her a hug and kiss. "Ok, sweetie. I will see you early tomorrow to take you home. Rest well, ok?," said Lynn. "I will. Thank you for taking care of my baby. You were more of an mother to me than my own," smiled Amelia. "No need to thank me. You're a daughter I never had," said Lynn. Giving her a great big hug, she let Amelia go to say goodbye to Jisela. Sighing, Amelia grabbed her little girl's hands. "Baby, mommy is coming back tomorrow ok. So, be a good girl for daddy, grandma, and your uncles and aunts," said Amelia. "Ok, mommy. I be good girl. I go wit daddy," said Jisela, nodding her head. "Good. I love you," said Amelia. Kissing her daughter on her forehead. "I woo you too," smiled Jislea, getting off of Amelia and into Justin's arms. Waving goodbye, Amelia laid motionless, just staring at the white walls and wishing that tomorrow would come soon enough before falling in a restless sleep. Back Home Chapter 16 |
