Chapter 10
Inside Amelia's apartment....
Walking into the apartment, Amelia was faced with Mya who was sitting at the couch, the closet you could get to the front door. Amelia didn't pay any attendtion to Mya as she walked past her because she really was in a good mood and didn't want a fight to change it, but that wasn't was on Mya's mind when she opened her mouth to talk. "So, you did decide to stay out all night with him, " sneered Mya before Amelia could reach her room. Sighing, Amelia turned around to Mya. " Mya, I don't want to argue with you right now. We will discuss this tommorow when the both of us have calmed down so, we won't say anything we'll regret later on." "Fine, do what you want. I'm going to bed," said Mya as she stalked off to her bedroom. "Great," said Amelia as she walked to her bedroom. As she did her daily night thing, all she could think about was how wonderful and sweet Justin was, but knew nothing would probably come from it. Her family and close friends would never accept him and would never stop how they felt , even if she did fall in love with him. Climbing into bed, she turned on her side and flicked the light off, shutting her eyes close, she fell in a peaceful sleep of Justin.
Justin's house.... Justin had finally reached his home. He had an big smile on his face as he entered the livingroom. If he was still living with his mom, coming home at this hour wouldn't go so well with her. Digging his hand in his pockets, he found what he was looking for. "676-2524, Amelia Jacobs," said Justin, to himself. Jogging up his stairs, he did his nightly things to get ready for bed. Getting into bed he turned out his light near the bed and fell asleep.
Mya's bedroom, 2 hours later... Mya had been in her room for the last two hours and couldn't sleep. She couldn't sleep with the thought of her best friend with a white man, so she decided to stay up and think about a few things. She had never told Amelia the pain she had suffered by men of another race besides her own. At times she felt she was being very unfare for keeping Amelia away from white men, but then she would change her thoughts and feel no guilt. She had been raised this way and couldn't help, but feel the need to follow what her parents had taught her. At first she didn't follow and thats how she got hurt, but now she knows better and doesn't plan on falling in love with a white man. She doesn't consider herself a racist, but then again, not liking another race because of skin color is racism. When it came to men, that was one of the many different things about them. Amelia's guys were always men of another race and Mya's on the other hand were only of one color; black. Amelia believed color shouldn't matter in love, but Mya thought the other way around. Mya was very insecure when it came to relationship just like her looks. Now that she thought about it, she always was jealous of Amelia and would put her down to make herself feel better. Anybody who looked at Amelia, saw natural beauty. She didn't need make-up to look nice and fancy clothing because she seemed to be so comfortable with herself and thats what Mya didn't like so, she would out do Amelia's natural looks and it always worked with the men. At times she would feel guilty that she was hurting her friend, but in this world, you will get stabbed in the back by your best friends. Like the old sayings says "keep your friends close and your enemies closer." Without a doubt, Mya still considered herself Amelia's best friend even though she was hurting her purposely. Amelia didn't notice a thing, but Mya would be careful not to get caught doing any bad instead of good in Amelia's eyes. Laying down on her bed in the darken room, she decided to apologize to Amelia and get her on her good side again. She would do this to make sure Amelia doesn't fall for him and all would be good in Mya's world..... again. This would be a wonderful lesson for Amelia to learn and she wasn't going to stop until her mission was done. Flipping on her stomach she started to plot her evil plan in her head as she dosed off into her own little deceitful world with a smirk on her face.
