Memories are For Ever

 

No fire can burn it

Nor the gushing wanes churn it

No weather can wear it

Nor the fireless winds tear it

No light can peer into it

Nor the aging colours of time smear it

 

                   No shadows of life can hide it

                             Nor the pace of life slide it

                   No man can steal it

                   No balm can heal it

                   You may try it

                             But no riches can buy it

 

What’s it that’s always near

That keeps ringing in your ear

Like a symphony of the bygone year

Or comes knocking from interior

And hops away from sight like a deer

But yet haunts you like an unforgotten fear

 

                   Death can touch it never ever

                             Till life remains, it’s the precious giver

                   That makes you richer, fresher, happier

                             Seasons after seasons remains green as ever

                   It’s the ageless, times fervour
