Infoworld has an excellent article comparing the performance characteristics of kernels 2.4.23 and 2.6. Provides a pretty decent overview of the new features in kernel 2.6, and also a look at the two new 0(1) schedulers. Makes for good reading. Grab the article here

Finally got my site a much needed face-lift. The site is largely incomplete, but I hope to fill it with lot of hot air. Meanwhile, I'd suggest not hitting the Gallery and Stuff links too often. Geocities seems to dislike heavy traffic.
