A
Karaoke microphone is directional and most of your voice will be picked up from
the top of the microphone. Remember, the microphone should never be more than 2
inches from your mouth. The microphone should never be aimed at any of the
speakers or a loud feed-back will result, this could damage the equipment or
your hearing.

Would you like to get up and
sing but you’re nervous or intimidated?
-Everyone
can sing, it’s just a matter of picking the right songs for your voice, a
little practice and you will soon have the courage to be one of the singers at
your favorite Karaoke event.
-Remember
that you don’t have to be a great singer, Karaoke is for fun and the more you
sing the better you get.
-If
you feel intimidated at first, ask one of the other singers to join you on
stage.
Do:
-Do
support other Karaoke singers, applaud generously.
-Do
be patient and wait your turn to sing.

get up to sing your first song.
-Do
let your KJ know if your microphone or audio monitor is to loud or to
soft.
-Do
let your KJ know what would make the show more enjoyable for you.
Don’t:
-Don’t
abuse the songbooks, they are expensive.
-Don’t
swing the microphones, they are expensive also.
-Don’t
scream or yell into the microphones.
-Don’t
be offended if someone else sings your song, you can sing it also.
-Don’t

presume that you should be able to sing more often just because you are a very
good singer.
