Fath Grave

Welcome to McGuire Chapel Cemetery! Located in Center Township in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, McGuire Chapel Cemetery is the old historic remains of a Methodist Episcopal Church called McGuire Chapel. This site is part of my Eagle Project of researching, repairing, and refurbishing this cemetery on Chapel Road. The Site contains pictures of the work I have done on my Eagle Project (on a "mini-website"), a short history of the church, some links, and a site map for site-wide travelling. In addition, there is a gravestone map and database for genealogists looking for local roots (in Eagle.html).

Please Email me and comment on my website and its progress. Please put the subject as "Cemetery cmnt".

Gone but not forgotten

Special Thanks:

My Dad, Jim Kinest, and Terry Collins, for guiding me

Michael Lutz, who gave me a copy of his gravestone database and map in 1982. He made that database as his Eagle Project and also helped.

In Memory of Denver E. Walton, who also made a more detailed database in 1972.

Mr. John Plutko, current Zoning Officer, in which, without that parcel number for the cementery, would never have had started my Eagle Project. With that parcel number, Dad & I found out the owner (nobody!) and got the green light.

Mr. Bloom, from T.L Fergusons, who graciously donated limestone and cement for my project (he went though the Boy Scout program too).

Rome Monument, for giving suggestions on how to repair some specific stones and all in general.

The Office of the Recorder of Deed and The Office of Veterans Affairs at Beaver County Courthouse, which gave me information about the deed and veterans in the cemetery

Mr. Quigley and the Michaels, for helping me post my website

Troop 423, specifically David Kozak Sr. and Jr, the Collins family, the Beaver family, Don Talbot, and Justin T. Nedrow for working as a team to reach the common goal of honoring the remembered.

Web Site UPDATIONS:

July 11, 2009
I have decided to move this site to tripod.com in order to save this site from going under with geocities.com. Click here to goto the saved site, which should now be searchable by major search engines! I thank all of you visitors for learning about history, and for those who helped me get my website and Eagle Project complete!

April 18, 2009:
Website first uploaded, unofficial "grand opening"+secondary testing+fixing!
Updated Graves.html, and email links.

April 19, 2009
Fixed most broken links, except the ones for the Slideshows and Work Days in Eagle. Fixed broken links in Map.html.

April 24, 2009
Added footnotes leading to a Works Cited page. Fixed some minor broken links (pictures &c), and started uploading some of the Slideshows. Also, I worked on hard-copy reports that I will send to libraries, historical societies, &c. I might upload that report as a small download once it's done (and once I know how to make downloads!).

Lastly, I am pondering about what to do with this website since Geocities will be closing down during this summer. This is not a drill!!. (But the webmasters did they were doing it "as we focus on helping our customers explore and build new relationships online in other ways."

April 26, 2009
Decided to delete all links down from "Pics.html". Pictures are now under "Eagle". Also added the pictures for ALL of the pages under "Eagle/Work Days". Lastly, fixed/deleted links.

April 27, 2009
Official Grand opening! The site is now fully functional!
