Brock Houston is pictured on the right doing a pop shuv it rock and roll. This picture is taken at the Ivins Skatepark just outside of St. George, Utah. Brock is from Las Vegas, Nevada and is currently attending Utah Tech University, studying software engineering. I have a few classes with Brock and have been skating with him a few times as well. He skates more transition while I mostly focus on park.

When I asked, Brock said his favorite part about skateboarding is the physical activity, freedom of expression, and how fun it is. I totally agree with Brock on all of those freedom of expression especially. Whether it be the obsticle, trick choice, steez, or even clothing style. Brock started skating when he was around 11 or 12 years old, and he even has some experience with surfing. I also asked brock what his favorite trick was, and he said backside air.

I am pictured on the left and right doing a kickflip and a manual. The first picture is at Sk8 George Skatepark, and the second picture is taken at Ivins Skatepark. One of my favorite tricks is the manual, because it is so satisfying being able to hold it.

I started skateboarding about 3 years ago. I started in the parking lot of the restaurant that I worked at with a few friends, and it just grew from there. I love skateboarding because it gets me outside, and it is always a fun thing to do with friends. I also love being able to see myself progress.
