Kamp Kemperman '06 Friday:
WOW!!!! Can you believe this weather? Sunny. Warm. Not a cloud in the sky! WooHoo! A great Kamp weekend. (OK -- enough of that. My software testing job demands that I get back into the office. But just for tonight !) The pulled Italian beef sandwiches are ready for whomever shows up for the Early Bird Special.

Vice Prez Bob & his entourage arrive at Kamp Kemperman first (before noon!) -- well before any other kampers! They apparently have a lot of "prep" to do for the Kook-Off -- but it is all very secret!
Kamp Kemperman '06 Saturday:
With help from Asst. Dir. Tammy, Counselor John, and Kampers Kylie and Dawn, we got the Honeymoon Suite ready for the newlyweds' rehearsal. (Too bad only the bride got to enjoy it; check out the "After" pictures.)
The Kook-Off was a HUGE success - with over 20 participants & LOADS of great food! (It will be back in 2007 -- fer sure!) BTW, did you know that the temperature in the outdoor kitchen was over 107 F in the shade? WHEW! Thanks to our judges -- Bob, Carol, & Kim -- you really made it a great time for all! (In case you didn't hear, click here to see who won.) Also, thanks to some local wineries (Bob's Laundry Room Wine & JERK winery) for letting us taste the "fruits" of their labors. We look forward to more "grape" things from you in the future.

The neon palm trees made a great backdrop for the first-ever Kamp Picture!
Kamp Kemperman '06 Sunday:
The "morning" got off to a slow start, but Chef Lloyd & Jr Chef Frank did a great job (as always) feeding us. Kampers slowly (and painfully) gathered most of thier belongings throughout much of the afternoon. Counselor John and I, made the rounds the next few weeks returning what we could. There is still quite a pile in the Lost & Found; check to see if you can identify any of your stuff from last year.
