Before she joined Innosense, Mandy was already trained in performing before hundreds. She was involved with Attache, which is a singing and dancing showcase of talent. Some talent that came from it was Lance Bass (of NSYNC fame), Paul Martin (Making the Band and the Marshall Dyllon, a country/pop group), and Meredith Edwards. If you view the one episode of Vh1's "Before They were Rock Stars," you can see a young Mandy performing with the Mississippi Show Stoppers. Along with her involvement of Attache, Mandy performed in famous musicals like "Grease" and "Guys and Dolls".

She was introduced into the girl group by means of Lance Bass. She was the perfect accompliant to the vocals of Nikki, Danay, Amanda, and last to join, Veronica. The newly formed group practiced their vocals and dancing skills. Soon the group was performing at local Orlando arenas like the House of Blues. The girls recorded some tracks, one of which being "Wherever You Are." Innosense filmed a music video for the well received song. It had some fame overseas, which the quintet travelled to so they could further promote themselves.
